Reklessracing.net's 3rd annual season opener is back again for the 3rd time. It will be held May 3rd at Colt State Park in Bristol, RI. Start time is approximately 11am and will go till the last person leaves. The past two were huge and we hope to have it even larger this year.

Last year we had about 250 cars show up and we held it a month earlier. This year we bumped it up to May so we'd have nicer weather.

This meet is open to absolutely everyone. Imports, domestics (there are actually a ton of domestics on Rekless,) classics, bikes, powerwheels...whatever! We only ask that you please act responsibly and there is no alcohol allowed in the park.

We have quite a few individuals come out from your way. Some of the Rekless Racing regulars are from your neck of the woods, if I recall correctly. It's definitely a great time.

We will keep you all updated as time goes along, in an attempt to make sure nobody forgets . In the meantime, let us know if you plan to attend so we can estimate what kind of turnout we are in for.

Hoping for some warmer weather compared to last year!

 

 

We'll have 3 grills going there and we may order pizzas (to buy by the the slice.) It's set up similar to a potluck. Food is free (except pizza if someone decided to do a mass-order of it, we'll let you know.)

If you plan on eating there, we ask that you bring a food or drink item. Preferably something non-perishable if you're traveling from far away. haha. A bag or 2 of chips, a 2 litre of soda...nothing too extravagant. Maybe your girlfriend makes a kick-ass batch of brownies or something... lol. You can be creative if you want.

FYI: No alcohol allowed in the park, sorry!

Hey my car is in the ad I hope its more orginized for the cruise to the park, last time it was aweful. Ill plan on attending.

Last year, we certainly had some issues. The biggest issue, by far, was the "unwanted guests." The ricers came out of the woodwork, unfortunately. We believe this was generated by people spreading the news to a friend, then he told a friend, et cetera and so on. Eventually, some trouble makers ended up arriving, causing traffic jams due to burnouts and drifting (yes, drifting). One guy even pulled over and encouraged people to stop in the middle of the road to do burnouts. Was rather insane. Ergo, it caused quite a traffic jam, and a lot of people got split up. We are trying to correct it this year by being more selective with who we invite to this event. We are rather optimistic for a much smoother transaction this time around

Just to keep you guys updated, the ION Redline crowd is expected to make a huge turnout. We are expecting well over a dozen Redlines for this event; it would be great is the SS crowd could make an equal showing. I know last year a lot of you showed up, and it was excellent . Would be great to get another huge photoshoot like last time (with warmer weather... warm enough to hold the camera steady )

Oh yeah! I want an all Redline picture with my car....then maybe we can get a huge picture with all the Cobalts and IRLs.

 

Its a 2.2L not worthy But we def need to get a big group picture again.

Bump. This is less than a month away. We are putting the final touches on the organization process, and seem to have a very good flow in tact. We are expecting more cars than last year, and for anyone who was present at last years event, there were quite a few!
