Island Dragway, Sunday November 14th

Nick over revved the yota if im not mistaken and the motor quit on his way home. Barron left early to go lend him a hand. I ran a 16.005 so far, I believe Barron was in the 13-14 range. The" pro" cars keep breaking left and right shutting the track down. I've been sitting in the lineup lanes for almost 2 hours and got one run in.

yeah, Nick hurt his car, Barron was high to mid 13s, and I was running 14.1s and 2s with the Nova. Did manage to beat a couple of guys...almost beat a newer GTO, he pulled me at the top end and beat me by 3 hundredths

i got 3 pulls in about an hour, than i hung out a bit, than did another pull, than left to laugh to make sure byt wasnt dead on the side of the road.
best time for me was a 13.69 i believe. My 60' times were horrible as I was babying the car (2.3-2.5ish) was trapping 107 consistently. I know it might of been on the high side, but I was NOT NLS'n, and traction was an issue (need new tires).
With that said I am hooked, I wanna go again, for my first time out i had a blast.
and BYT, im serious about throwing quadzilla in the back of my truck.....

Im curious to see your 60' times after new tires Baron. My worst 60' of the day was a 2.385. Especially since you can launch at a considerably higher rpm than me. Thanks elecblue06, for a 100% stock car with nothing more than a redneck exhaust and some weight reduction I couldn't be happier.

I never launched over ~2800rpm till the last run, i stayed at about 3k and just side stepped the clutched, bogged, than spun, than 08slate pulled me in his nova haha, 14.3 FTL
fixed

still my tires and possibly the clutch cant take the beatings, i got 3 passes in pretty quick, the gates opened at 10, and i had three passes by 1230, i couldnt tell ya what time i lined up, but in that 2 1/2 hours were the 3 passes, tech, and a waiting for them to open the lanes to the track.

I think the highest I was able to launch the Nova at was 2400...kinda wish it had a transbrake though I was able to break 2.0 60' time on the last run of the day against Baron 1.999 60, lol And that is on a true street tire

No we don't, it is entirely stock suspension under it. On the footbrake I can usually get up to almost 2600 but all the guys I ran against staged up so fast I couldn't really get up to there to really come hard off the line.

Thanks but I do believe my dad has a set sitting collecting dust in his garage at work. He also wants to get the offset hangers for the springs so we can fit a little bit wider tire on there.
And Baron, not sure how much attention you were paying to my launch, but if you were what did it look like coming off the line?
