I remember when there would 20+ cars on r37 street racing with little chance of being caught. Now every 100 yards theres a cop on the side of the road.

Watch out for an unmarked Mustang on Route 17 usually heading north. He likes to hide near the Mitsubishi dealership in Maywood. LOTS of people get pulled there.

Why was he trying to get your LT to race in the first place? No offense, but dee dee dee on the cops part. Thats like pulling up next to an Aveo with a Z06 and trying to provoke a race....lol

A) I'm totally debadged, don't have anything, not even a chevy symbol. He probably didn't even know it was a cobalt
B) I have an exhaust and a downpipe, so my car is not quiet
C) It was a blazer... how is that like comparing a z06 to an aveo. i would have smoked him...

A) I don't street race B) if a tinted out blazer is trying to run, there's something wrong so after a few attempts to get me to run, he pulled away in a hurry... i was able to see through the back window, and saw him grab his radio and start talking, and saw the lights on the dash... low and behold a half mile up was a cop sitting in the shoulder ALSO talking on his radio... the cop had one of the new chargers...

so just as a heads up these cops are getting sneaky, if anyone street races i would be really careful.. i've seen unmarked blazers, durangos, impalas, camaro, even a neon...
That is some good info. I'm glad I live in PA.

I went to the state police museum a couple of weeks ago and was talking to one of the troopers. He said they just got a new fleet of jeep liberties in. I've seen local cops in anything from Chevy Luminas to Minivans. You can never be too sure.

Only thing you can be sure of is that they use strictly American made cars. You'll never see a cop in a BMW or a Honda. I mean maybe if its a very deep undercover drug sting or something like that, but as far as patrol officers go, they'll be in some type of American car be it an SVT Mustang or an old Caprice. Sometimes there are tell tale sings you can use to spot an undercover such as sirens, steelies instead of stock rims, or if they're coming at you sometimes you can see their radar gun/camera mounted on the dash. Some have spotlights attached to the driver's sideview mirror and most have municipal or government plates. Unfortunately if you get close enough to notice some of these subtle signs... you're probably already of out luck.

i hope you guys realize that almost all PD's have very unique DB/undercover cars. they usually just use the best cars they seize. they use any and all kinds.

since they are out of commision, i will tell you some of my department's old undercover cars: cadillac eldorado, GMC Sonoma, mercury grand marq, just to name a few

I see him all the time!! He followed me to Wawa off Rt. 100 the one day, parked next to me, when I got out, he looked right at me, backed up then took off. Ever since then, he doesn't mess with me, but I see him everyday, especially around lunch time.

Sneaky Sneaky... My radar detector saved me a few times. During the summer, for about 2 months, my local PD had a white Bronco (Much like OJ's!)... and they'd park it in the grass next to open country roads on the outskirts of town. Trying to bust those speeders. I haven't seen it since though.

What's funny, the breakdown of people here in Ohio that get pulled over for speeding:

10% are Rich guys in Fancy European cars
15% are your DUMB Tuners that race in the city
25% are High School Girls, Yapping on their phones
50% are Mom's in Minivans!

Did I mention that I don't like MOST Women drivers? Especially High School Girls. Yesterday I watched one that was SO focused on her Phone conversation... that she drove straight through a red light. Not a "just turned red" red light.... but a "Been red for at least a minute" red light!

Which is why I say ALL states need to ban talking on your cell phone while driving. DAMN, I can't WAIT to join the State Highway Patrol!

not surprising... it's because they're talking on thier phone, screaming at the kids, doing her makeup, and reading the paper at the same time... how can she keep her eyes on her speed too? she's only human ya know...

The plastic ones really don't help all that much. Regardless if you got a metal PBA card sittin in your wallet, they can still take that away.

I hope most of us with the metal ones don't drive around like maniacs, I don't but it has helped me out a good 3 times. One of those was for tints, which was followed by the "how much have you drank tonight, and where are you going" questions.

That's crazy, I should have figured something like this was gonna happen eventually. I got harassed by a damn statie, he walked up all tough and what not. All he had on me was window tint on my front windows. He actually pulled me over instead of all the other dumbies doin 10 or more over the speed limit. Ass monkey..

Yeah man, I been to one or two of them crazy races out off 37, it's been awhile though. My boy was out there racing against a modded Stang GT and this cop like, fell outta the sky and everyone booked it like we were in Fast and The Furious. lol.. Gotta Love Jersey.

Kevin, I saw this same blazer tonight. Rte. 3 west, I pass a blazer (dark colored and TINTS). I was doing about maybe 60. He's about 2 cars behind me when I see him come flying up next to me (I always look in my rearview mirror....I have a habit...I look more in the rear view mirror than on the road...not good) but any way, he comes flying up next to me and paces me back and forth. I look at him...well in that direction and i say to myself, "WTF". So I brake lightly and low and behold he brakes. Then, I just put my blinker on and pretty much cut him off lol. I was pretty pissed because he was basically harrassing me. This lasted about 2 minutes or so. Finally he got the hint and backed away.
