I thought he's already been tuned by Matt. If so, Matt usually will tweak a tune, that he did, for someone w/o charging them. It's not like he has to go on the dyno. Matt could just scale it a little fatter for him...

The bigger TB, I don't think is necessary. The car just doesn't need it. There are much larger restrictions and much less efficient things to address before going after the TB.

A 3" CAI is a great investment. The TB opening is 3", so why would you want to flare down the intake? Before you go running off on something like that; though, what do you have done? Let's see what needs the most attention before we go replacing parts that are already upgraded...

Edubs, I never had him tune me. Stupid because I had the money in hand, just never went.

Now, when I see that I REALLY need one, I don't got it.

If I were you, I would drop the pulley size a tad, like a 2.9" and go w/ those cooling mods (dual pass +opt B). After that, he's got it right, get your head worked on. Matt's machine shop that he uses does great work. I'm sure they could work out a deal for you w/ upgraded valvetrain components and a port/polish. They've already had experience w/ mine and DTM's heads, so they know what they're doing. You could definately gain a good amount of power from a P/P, then tune the hell out of it...

X2...I have seen, and taken pics of one of the heads that Matt has had built for an LS series motor. NOICE!!! Make sure to have all your supporting mods done FIRST, then you can truly benefit from everything else. These cars suffer most from lack of traction and cooling issues. You take care of those and she'll be a BEAST

That's all up to Matt, you just need to put a list together of what you want him to do and ask him to price it out for you. The more you have him do, the better the discount gets. If I were you, I wouldn't do the 8K redline, unless you want them to pull the motor and replace the balance shafts w/ neutral balance shafts. You'd be safe for a nice 7500 redline w/ upgraded valvetrain, though. While he's at it, you should also have him put a cometic headgasket on and ARP or Golden Eagle Head studs since he'll have the head off anyways...

No, Matt just usually sounds busy. He typically is yelling across the room for something while he's installing something else, while he has the phone propped up to his ear by his shoulder. You're better off going there in person, and probably meeting up w/ someone like Andy or Dan while they're there. Matt's a real cool guy, never really pissed off, just always busy. The Nuetral balance shafts just make the engine louder, not necessarily the best thing for a daily driver. Unless you're putting different cams in, you really don't want to up your rev limiter that much though. Really, 7200 or 7500 is as high as you need to go...

Matt will ask you why you're even going higher than 7K...

Well, I actually just bought a DD.... this is becoming more of my toy/money pit lol I just figured the extra 1k over 7 would offer a little longer with the PSI and HP.

I'll have to see if I can't get with him soon and figure out a price and timing. Im fixing my beater blazer this weekend and the balt will be shelved for the winter. I'm Friggin pumped now! lol
