I am just curious about this, why is PA, NY, NJ, DE, MD, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, and ME all grouped together as North East?

CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, and ME are northeastern states

and
PA, NY, NJ, DE, and MD are midatlantic states.
