We had some epic chases down hwy 100. I raced Mike (dark red S197 Mustang with black stripe that's really damn loud) and from 10mph roll I pulled 2 cars out then he caught traction and all I heard was blower whine as he blew by me. lol He's putting down a little over 500whp so I'm not surprised. We went out to the "burnout spot" and laid down some serious rubber! A few people left there with completely bald tires. lol I wore the new film off mine pretty darn well. lol

What's done to the STI?

 

Oh really that's cool I wish we were there the sti is stage 2

 

I'm not sure what all is entailed in a STI stage 2 package. A buddy of mine used to have an '06 "hawkeye" STI that was tuned by IAG @ 20psi, 3" turbo back straight pipe, cold air, metal piping, HKS SSQ BOV, and a few other goodies and I ran with him stride for stride every time. He made 302whp/338wtq @ 20psi on the stock turbo.

intake, exhaust, downpipe, cobb tune they really aren't fast once rolling from a dig of course awd paints a different story but in the right conditions a stage 2 sti could get beat by a tuned cobalt in the 1/4 mile at the track

its louder than stock and way cheaper than buying a new exhaust

 

did you cut the muffler/reweld or what did you do?

 

i cut the muffler off then clamped straight pipe to it. that way he can always return to stock sound if need be

 

oh ok, i have a welder, and a huge garage lol if you or anyone else ever needs to use it though
