No, I will be on the slicks. lol On street tires, I'd still trap 106-107mph but at like a 13.8. lol
holy hell I just looked at your sig... your focus has only 230whp and you broke into the 12s ?!?!?!?!?!?!

unreal!. do you have slicks and drag bags?

turbo means nothing. Hes only making 230whp and 215trq. Thats a lightly tuned turbo on a focus.. Im guess aluminum block SVT motor? so low boost? 8-9psi>?

Even if he has no interior that only means he shaved off probably 160Ibs. I did that in my tiburon and shave 0.2 secs off my 1/4 mile on street tires. launched like a bat out of hell ,lol.

No, I mean he took out more then that you'll have to have him explain. and I'm pretty sure its not a SVT motor.

YouTube - 2000 Tiburon vs 2006 GTO

Just for fun, m 00' N/A tibby vs a 06 GTO, lol... I think its an 06?

mods to tibby are...

CAI
0BX 4-2-1 headers
custom dual catback exhaust -sounds like **** sometimes especially after the headers went in 2.25" dual pipes.
Light weight crank pulley
light weight power pullet
light weight water pump pulley
no cat
gutted interior -removed EVERYthing even the seat belt brackets
cars best time was a 15.4@89mph. stock it did 16.6

Like his focus, it launched really really well but fell on its face once I got to 3rd gear, lol.

well Im guessing he has a roll cage and if he took out more, does that mean me cut out metal and replaced with sheets of aluminum?

Garrett GT2860RS @ 11psi, 42lb injectors, cast turbo manifold, 2.5" stainless downpipe back, FMIC

It's a stock '07 2.0L Duratec economy motor that had 130bhp stock. It still has the stock cams (-29* of overlap, only .32 lift), stock intake mani, stock TB, stock cast internals, etc... I've never opened the long block. The Focus weighed 2440lbs stock & empty, and I've gotten it down to barely that weight with me in it and a half tank of gas. No interior minus two Corbeau seats and 4-point harnesses, the front and rear crash supports have been removed and replaced with 5lb aluminum bars, no A/C compressor or ducting (saved alot of weight, more than the crash supports), all the noise dampening has been removed (over 80lbs of that ****), etc...

No roll cage, no metal cut. Just front and rear solid steel crash supports (over 40lbs total) replaced with a 5lb aluminum bar on both.

Thats quite impressive. You must have shaved almost 500 Ibs out that car. I think they weigh close to 2750 Ibs

The SVT and SES auto models were the heaviest at 2650lbs. Mine is a base S 3 door hatch with manual locks, manual windows, no A/C, just base model and it was 2440lbs when I weighed it stock with the gas light on. It doesn't have the sunroof, no rear sway bar, etc... all those things add up.

If that. I dropped about 120lbs with the interior, not including the noise dampening.

This pic is from when I was getting ready to start removing the noise dampening.

well thats fun. My gfs brothers co-worker had a base model 07 focus. he swapped the motor for an 03 SVT one because he destroyed the stocker.

Well he decided to turbo it and this is all with his daddys money mind you. Its an aluminum block so it cant handle tooo much boost. He set his boost to just over 20Ibs.... Blew the **** up immediately with his Ebay turbo kit, lol.

I wish I had known that he knew nothing about cars or I would have warned him immediately not to over boost that motor.

He tricked his dad into buying him a 2011 Mustang 5.0 now...

Yeah, he's a cartard. The SVT motor is a solid motor though. It comes with forged aluminum rods and pistons from the factory. The issue is the stock 10.2:1 compression. There is a guy in Ohio who made 362whp at 20psi on the stock long block and drove it around that way for 2 years before building the motor. He never had an issue. It's nothing to get 300whp with less than 15psi with a 28 series turbo on the SVT motor. There's a guy down in NC that's pushing 614whp/502wtq with a GTX3582R at 25psi. Still with the stock head and cams, just stronger forging rods and pistons. It's still on the aluminum block.

Have you ever seen a rally car race though, their brakes squeek like crazy. Just something with high performance brakes.
