my car is in modified mag

yup thats right.. one last goodbye to the cobalt, i finally got the car into modified mag. i submitted it 6 months ago.. and now it's in the jan. 2008 issue under readers rides. this is awesome for me.. but sucks that i no longer own the car. the car will now forever be known as mine lol. they may also do a shoot at sshp racing in brockton with the car.. because we still have it here at the dealership. check it out guys.. modified mag is a huge deal for me as it's a huge magazine. thanks everyone.

rallyracer 12-19-2007 11:27 AM

Post pics, I dont get that magazine.

ss sleeper 12-19-2007 11:28 AM

congrats man! was it the yellow one? if it was then that is a nice ride man, why you getting rid of it?

blackphoenix 12-19-2007 11:59 AM

yea it was the yellow one..i'm going back to school and had to get rid of it. i couldn't afford school and the car

SuperchargedSS 12-19-2007 12:19 PM

I dont understand how you could do that, I would have forced a way to do both, somehow. Goo don you for being able to do that. Going back to school licks bag, having to sell a sweet ride so you can go back to school again is even worse.

hawlyns711 12-19-2007 12:20 PM

pretty sweet dude, i'll have to pick up that issue

that is the most ignorant statement i've ever heard.

Good for you, there will be better rides once you get out of school and have enough money that you don't have to drive an econobox. Trust me, you made the right decision and at least you'll always have MM to remember it.

Wow, you need to get out more if you find that ignorant. You missed my point. I am complenting him on being able to do something I couldn't. I would have carried the debt of both school and the SC. As far as going back to school being a pain in the ass, it's true.

Get real.

Back on topic: I wanna see pics too.

roccityroller 12-19-2007 01:29 PM

OK, you're right, carrying as much debt as possible through school is a smart idea. Thank you for enlightening me.

SuperchargedSS 12-19-2007 01:41 PM

Attn' jerk off - I just said that it would be worth it "to me" to work a way out to pay for both. As far as debt, were talking about a 4 cyl chevy, which if taken care of, will still be drivable when you graduate... either way, pay for a car now, or pay for one later who cares. Besides I dont know why i am debating this with you anyhow, I could care less what you think. Were not talking Ferrari payments here...

My only point is that it must suck to sell a car to have to go back to school. How is that an ignorant statement? Its no fun, period. I also stated I respect him for being able to do it....

wheh....

stil 350-450 dollars a month is alot of money for a student attending school full time...on top of paying for school and living expenses.

i have a good paying job and go to school full time and i just get by paycheck to paycheck, my car+insurence+gas consumse all my money..and i just have a 2.4SS

good for you picking your future over your present day pleasures (car) hard decision to make but a smart one in the end

SuperchargedSS 12-19-2007 01:51 PM

Understood, it's not doable for everyone. I would have seen if I could take an interest free loan from the parents or see what I could do with my student loan, or talk to my bank. I have a great relationship with my bank manager, he has helped me finance the building of several houses, two of which I have on the go now. Its not hard to find an extra few bucks here or there these days... but thats just me. I put myself through college and post grad school with a new car, no mommy daddy silver spoon, sometimes I think everyone can find a way if they work hard enough.

Still, dont get me wrong, I am not saying going back to school is wrong, I am just saying keep the balt'

freakta 12-19-2007 02:55 PM

pictures please hell you need to buy 4 of the mag one to keep in a safe place on to keep with you to show off one to have in your dorm and one in case something happens

L.P. 12-19-2007 02:58 PM

congrats on making it.

and no he was very smart in saleing the car if he wanted to go back to school. I go to school full time and pay for my car but its only $240 a month due to me having a huge down payment when I bought it $10k. Congrats again man.

BumbleBee 12-19-2007 02:59 PM

i knew i saw someones. figured they were on css.net

blackphoenix 12-19-2007 03:32 PM

yea thanks alot guys.. i allready bought a copy this morning lol. yeah. believe me the last thing i wanted to do was sell the car. the local guys know that car was my life, but sometimes you need to start a new one and i made that choice. getting the car into this magazine just made everything worth it with all my hard work and money invested. know i can go to school, get a better job, and have the money to do it all over again with a different car.

blkcobalt 12-19-2007 03:50 PM
