Exclamation Need help in NJ

Hey,

Is there anyone in the Middlesex or Union country area that has a STOCK SS/TC that I could listen to the engine tonight. I have my car at the dealership with an odd engine noise. They are trying to tell me it's a "normal" noise, and I want to hear if anyone else's car makes the same noise.

if its a ticking noise coming from the head area its perfectly ok. its the d.i. there is alot of pressure in that system. muffler delete will rid of that noise

I know the ticking noise is normal... But there is also a clicking noise like something is loose in this area (disclaimer: NO this is not a picture of MY CAR, I am using it for the engine picture).

well i highly doubt there is a issue with your car.. Does it make this sound all the time, or just when cold. does it make the sound ever other second or is it constant all the time if so look for a vacuum leak or if you bought it used look for mods tune ect!

Makes it all the time... and I bought it new. And the dealership said they heard the noice and changed the fuel pump and dampner because of the noise. When I went to pick it up last night, I started it up at the dealership and the noise was there. Then they proceed to tell me that the noise is normal. How can it be normal and they had to change parts because of it. That is why I want to hear another cobalt engine to confirm.
