Exclamation Never bring your car to Denooyer Chevrolet on Wolf Road in Albany. Ever.

Unless you want this to happen:

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/lounge-42/dealerships-suck-please-read-details-photos-inside-97923/

Cliff notes:

I bring my car in for service due to warranty work (seat belt wont retract and door latch is loose). I leave with my friend and we go off to work on his Prelude to kill some time. They call me up not 15 minutes later saying my car was "hit." Upon further inspection I notice my front lip scuffed, wheels damaged. They tell me everything will be covered by them. So I bring the car back on Monday (was damaged on friday) and tell them about the wheels, lip. This damage was overlooked when the accident occured, mainly because the car was covered in snow and salt. They tell me that was caused by me and not them (absolute bullshit). So I bite the bullet and pay out the ass for 2 new rims. They fix the bodywork free of charge, and return the car back to me with the engine completely covered in dust, a shitty detail job on the interior, and the exterior paint all scratched up (ESPECIALLY my hood) and swirl marks everywhere because the moron who buffed it apparently doesn't know how to use a buffer. So I take the car home and notice the alignment is off. Again, obviously related to the damage. I brought it to Salisbury Chevrolet to get an alignment, but they couldn't align it because the left side suspension parts were bent/damaged. Again, related to this mishap. This vehicle was MINT before it got damaged by Denooyer Chevrolet. Not a single swirl, ding, etc. on the entire car. So I bring the car back to Denooyer since I was told the car was aligned before it was given back to me. AND GUESS WHAT.. it was NEVER DONE. So they put it on their alignment rack and tell me the same ****, parts are bent. However, they won't cover them. They think I damaged the car! Funny how all of the damage is on the same side of the impact. ********. So I asked to speak with the manager of the Dealer (Joel Denooyer), but he was out of office. This was on a Wednesday I believe. My father and I left our information and was told that he would get back to us either when he came in that day or the day after. It's been 6 days now, and guess what! No reply back from him. Apparently they don't give a **** about customers, but rather making money off them even if it involves ripping them off through shady business practices. So, I am paying not only for new wheels but for all of the suspension components to be replaced, and I am driving around in a car that has taken quite a beating over the past month or so. I also called GM SEVERAL TIMES, and after a few days I was told that the Dealer told GM that it was my fault so GM basically told me I was on my own with this. GM listens to the Dealer and not the customer. Great. Anyway, thanks for reading, and please do me a favor and

DO NOT GO TO DENOOYER CHEVROLET! Ever! Don't even buy a car from these crooks because they will screw you. When I bought my car, I was promised a free oil change. I brought the car there and they told me they won't do it, and they will only cover standard oil (The SS S/C requires synthetic.. it comes that way from the factory.) I was promised a free oil change when I bought the car from them.. so they won't put the proper oil in my car? Shows how much they care. Also, I brought the car in before for the seat belt not retracting, and they told me this was normal on cobalt coupes! Bullshit! They are just trying to get out of warranty work. Again, this dealer doesn't give two ***** about the customer. Ever since the old service manager left and the kids took over the business the place has gone downhill ever since. Again, this is Denooyer Chevrolet located on Wolf Road in Albany, NY.

The BBB (Better Business Bureau) is involved. I think it's too late for a lawyer now. I'd be happy if all of the upstate NY members of this site avoid the dealer completely.

Salisbury has been good to me so far. I heard bad things about Action Chevrolet as well.

Park the car with a sign on it in a parking lot near the dealership with a sign on it that says "Denooyer Chevrolet does not take care of its customers, contact me at xxx-xxx-xxxx for more info." and watch how fast your problems are solved.

It's kind of near Union College. They have been great to me so far. Awesome customer service throughout the dealer and they always get me right in. No waiting or being dicked around. It's a lot of older guys there who are into cars like us so they take good care of your ride. Denooyer is a bunch of stupid kids who took over daddy's company and are in it for the money and nothing else.

I just may have to do that. That's a wonderful idea. Is it possible to get into trouble for something like that?

Don't do it on their property but make sure its somewhere where you can legally park and their employees can see it to and from work.

I'm about to go to a local dealership that took over ownership from another dealer and the new management is known to be ********. They wouldn't even order 8 connecting rod bolts for me without me being there to pay cash first.

I have to have my sunroof fixed under warranty. I'm looking forward to the fight with them when they hear cams and see a big ass aftermarket blower and nitrous under the hood with a Pittsburgh Raceway sticker in the window. This is going to be my plan if they even consider giving me ****.

**** too late for a lawyer, say you've given them enough time to do something you're taking matters into your own hands. also, I wouldn't pay for those rims or those suspension parts. I'd A. call GM, and let them know the situation and the legal action you're taking against one of their dealers, and B. get that lawyer ASAP and make those bastards PAY. that is clearly an accident caused while driving the vehicle, hell, the ******* rims are curbed! no one hit that car, it slid into something.

on a funny sidenote, when I was getting my balt, a state worker backed his pickup truck into the dealership (they were doing road work right in front, and this was the modified pickups with the huge toolboxes on the sides, and the diamond plate bumpers) and COMPLETELY TRASHED a brand new car sitting on the lot. totally f-ed the living hell out of it, broke the windows, trashed the door, and cause ungodly scrapes and bends and cracks all over the one side of the car....and drove away. lol the asshat KNEW he did it, he stopped for a second and you could see him freaking out in the cab, but then he just drove away. the sales manager was FLIPPING OUT. 2 minutes later his boss walks in the door and hands the sales manager a paper with all his information!!! ahahahahahah!!!

that's BS. I think we need to file a class action against GM too. these asshats let these dealers do whatever they want and they don't even give a ****. I know several people who work for dealerships and if someone calls the maufacturer about an issue an rep is on the phone with the dealership immediately, and a resolution is made. the fact is they're giving chevy a bad name, and chevy should care about that, but I guess they really do want to go out of business?

GM is already bankrupt as it is. But in reality, it's not GM's fault. If anything they should push the DEALER to fix my damn car. But it's not a defect caused by GM, but the dealer.

I am so doing the thing with the sign. I just need to find a sign thats large enough to put on my window wherever I go. I should call up the news stations and see if I can get it on TV!

that's what I mean tho, GM as a company needs to REALLY up the quality of the resellers (the dealerships) it goes through. that makes all the difference with the vehicle. I just realized the other day that I could legally lemon law my car, I would never, know why? cause the dealership I go to has treated me so well and not questioned a thing I've brought them (nothing has been ****, it's all been legitimate things) but I know TONS of people who haven't gotten half the service I have for twice the problems. that's absurd, and GM should really want to do something about that, ya know? no, the car isn't their fault, but letting ******** like that carry their product without taking responsibility is.

P.S. - that sign idea is ftmfw!

My stealership did the same with my oil change, but I didnt let em off the hook.
In my case the coupon did not state that Mobil 1 was exempt from the dealio...

Service manager was grumpy, but I didnt care. If he didnt like it, he should have been paying attention to details...

Everytime I go in I have to remind them to put Mobil1 in the car and write it on the work order and cricle it too. The desk monkeys always miss this. I have caught the same guy 3 times now. Then they act like having putting a pro grade oil in a forced induction car is set back for me. Like I didnt know this when I bought the car. They are always like, we'll thats going to be 80 bucks, thats some expensive "Crap". I just shake my head. "oh in that case I'll just head over wallmart and buy the cooking oil they sell"... unreal

SAME **** I WENT THROUGH! They told me that "its expensive stuff.. 80 bucks. " I laughed and told them i'll just do it myself for half that, and spend the money I saved on a full tank of gas. And I am doing the sign idea, i'll be sure to get plenty of videos/photos/reactions Hopefully I can get the news in on it as well, that would be awesome!

I told you what to do in your previous thread. You chose to pay out the ass yourself and now basically admitted fault in doing so. Now you are screwed. Sorry.

It's going through insurance. I know what to do, the point of this thread is to keep people AWAY from Denooyer Chevy. One SS S/C fucked up by them is one too many! My uncle's friend brought his 07 Z06 there for work, and they crushed the rocker panels when putting it on the lift. I havn't heard anything positive from that place.
