Newb Help, First time at track

So I am taking the plunge and going to english town tonight.

Ive never raced on a track before, lol only the street.

I am looking forward to racing but am a bit nervous...

Anyone got some good pointers for me?

All the way from getting there to the tree.

Ive been to the track before, just never raced...

I am a little nervous about "lining up" and the burnout.

I have noticed since the addition of the Ingalls ETD, if the tires are warmed up they grab better.

So I would like to burn out but with NO WATER.

Feel free to fire away.

Thanks,
Rich

Go around the water then sharply get right infront of it. Personally, I dont do a burnout (foot on brake and spinning in one spot). I rev it up pretty high and let go of the clutch. I get the wheelspin while moving forward slowly. When I went to the track the first time I screwed up the lining up so heres what you gotta do. Roll forward every so carefully approaching the line, which is quite noticeable. Continue rolling until you notice the very first side-by-side two small yellow lights at the top of the tree turn on. This means youre very close to the starting line. Roll a little more until the set of yellows underneath the first set light up. If you do it right, you will see that both sets of yellows are on while you wait for the main lights to start. Be careful not to pass the line entirely or you will have to reverse with your tail between your legs. lol. I dont know how to launch the SS/SC since I have a 2.4L SS, so you'll have to wait for another member to help you with that. Have fun man.

Thanks for the help.

I think I should do alright with the driving part.

Its just not looking like an ahole when lining up that concerns me.
