Hey guys.

Yes, I know there's a Pittsburgh area. But it doesn't show much action. This is a more specified thing anyway.

I've seen a few Cobalt guys and J-body folk crusin' around. Like Pittspeed cars and stuff. I was wondering if any Pittsburgh region guys wanted to start a club. Have a gathering every once in a while...maybe a site? Who knows? I'd say it should be Cobalt AND J-body guys. Make it easier for more people to participate.

Anyone down? I'd say like Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas if you'd be willing to drive and meet up every once in a while.

You can count me in...The only thing about a club though is that people have to meet on a regular basis...I would be down for that but would everyone else be up for it??

Yeah, I'd definately be down for meets. Try to have something every once in a while now, during crappy weather...but then more often in summer.

If you plan the meets for weekends then I'm definitley in........weekdays are kinda tough with work for me though

I'd be in, but my schedule is pretty much the opposite of everyone else's. I might be able to sweeng a weekend here or there, but in general weekends are bad for me.

 

Yeah...I'm off every Saturday. I work every sunday. I'm in school until 12:20 during the week...then most weekdays I start work at 3. lol. Oh well. But I'd definately like to get something going soon before the snow comes. Maybe NEXT weekend? Like saturday? Maybe we can figure out where's centralised for everyone.

Also, I think it'd be cool if it was Cobalts AND J-bodies. Regardless...I think a safe name is just "Pittsburgh Area Cobalt and J-Body Enthusiasts". Nothing gay like Night Rollerzzzz. lol. If you guys would like...maybe we can throw up some ideas for small decals for our cars? Then we can probably toss up like 5 bucks each and go make some. Nothing huge. Just like a normal emblem size decal. Who knows?

Yeah, but you'd probably be better off meeting up with the Jersey crew, they've already had a few meets and have a pretty big group I guess. I'd never be able to put that many miles on my car just for a meet!

yeah, I met up with a few guys in jersey, and some jersey J's from j-body. still put about 300 miles on my car that day.

 

Damn. Philly would be a drive. We'd have to like get together the entire GM population for that to happen. haha.

 

From cleveland Here come to pittsburgh alot ! got a base coupe so far tinted the windows nad got a cat back system on it. Waiting until after the SEMA show to see what other goodies I want to add a Turbo will be on that list...

I know of one other RL owner in Pittsburgh who I've met up with. I also know some place in Monroeville where ricers (and a few actually fast ricers) meet up.

Anyway, I'd love more info!

I have no objections to RL's joining the fun, we're all brothers and sisters here.

I've seen an overabundance of Rice in Monroeville but didn't know they had meets. That's actually scary. I've also had run ins with rice at the Waterfront lately too. Some kid wanted to race me in his "Evo OZ Edition"...which was really just a Lancer OZ Edition with its stock 120hp engine and a fart can exhaust...

 

I'm not sure of the exact location. Just have heard they get together.

My girlfriend attends Duquesne Univ (I work downtown), so I do a lot of downtown to Pleasant Hills driving on route 51. PLENTY of ricers as it heads through Brentwood/Baldwin/and up into PH. Haven't seen much of interest; just a few of the same WRXs I sometimes goof around with (beaten two from 40mph, got my ass handed to me from a dig...imagine that). And since I've put supercharged badges on my RL, I've been getting revved at by Civics left and right. So, so fun to kick their asses. I don't get it though--before I badged my RL, I could get around w/o trouble from ricers. Soon as I put badges on my car that show I have POWER, they want to get embarassed. Yay rice.

I've seen three or four SS/SCs running around. I'd love to meet up. Any ideas so far as to where, when? South or North park's always good. And before snow starts!

 

Yeah, I'm out east. Woodland Hills area. I've seen a few SS/SC's around too and a couple redlines. I'm hoping we can meet before snow too - so my car won't have the ugly ass steelies on it!!!!!

 

Friday and Saturday nights there's always a lot of kids in Monroeville by the KrispeKream and Starbucks, I'm not out there all that often though, I live out further east near Greensburg, I work in White Oak though which is gettin closer to the city, so a meet anywhere would be fine with me. Just as long as it's not on the west side of the city I'll come out.

Also about decals, if you guys want something, make it up and let me know. My little brother works in the graphic arts class at votech, I can get any sticker any size made for nothing so let me know, all I gotta say is I'm not making it because I lack any creativity
