There's an AutoX event in North Park, this Sunday, May 7th. Location: the North Park Swimming Pool parking lot in the North Hills of Pittsburgh.

$20. Not too far for anyone around the Pittsburgh area.

Hopefully, I'll be up there in my ION Redline. Hope to see some people there!

ANy requirements as far as safety equip??? Helmet etc...?

If not, I can maybe make it. I've never done it before, so what the heck.

 

Snell 85 or newer helmet. That's it. I don't own one, but will be picking one up this week.

Hopefully another Redline (or maybe two) might show up. I just have to install my K&N CAI this weekend. Car's been running crappy with my DIY setup, so I sprung and bought the Typhoon. Hopefully that'll solve my problems, so I won't get tossed into limp mode while AutoXing haha.

Though I'm sure there will be lots of driver error on my part (first time AutoXing), I'd like to see what the IRL can do. Lots of people on the redline forums have run, and run well.

 

Well, I'll have to pass on the AutoX this week then. I have no helmet, and don't plan on picking one up just yet. I will be spending the cash on new tires here very shortly.

Ive been to NP b4 to watch auto x events. Its pretty cool and its free to watch (was, is it still?). Me and my g/f will probably come up, but just to watch. Hey on a side note, does the couple that own the blue supra TT still X up there? They were awesome last time i saw them, the wife is actually better than the husband. There is also a dude in a silver BMW M3 that has sway bars the size of 2 weight lifting bars welded together on his car. Dude is pretty good too. Anyways, count me in to be there if it doesnt rain.

 

Yeah, Sunday is going to be the better of the 2 days this weekend by the looks of it. Maybe I'll get the car cleaned up again. 1 day here at work, and it looks like I never washed it. But hey, that's what I get for buying black.... had I seen silver before this... I might have reconsidered.

Too bad there's nothing really local going on like this in our locality. Just the Irwin Cruises and such. I'm usually there every weekend.

 

If my intake install goes smoothly, and resolves my limp mode issues, I'd like to run. ANother bud of mine w/ a Teg type-R should be coming too.

Man, you guys gotta let me know when you're going to hit up Steel Cities for an auto-x. Although I've never been to North Park. And it IS the day before my birthday...so it might be a fun time if I'm not still hungover.

 

Drop me a line on the RL forums if you're planning on coming I'm leaning toward yes right now...just depends on whether or not my intake comes in this week -- though the car's been running okay. Damn granny PCM's...very tempermental.
