Dan, good to hear someone else has the 360. If u're looking for some game advice, I'd have to recommend Gears of War. It's probably the best game I've played besides Halo and Halo 2. I don't have Xbox Live, yet. But, I'm looking to get it soon. Rainbow 6 Vegas is decent. Do u have an HDTV?

Yeah, Tim. I didn't want that to come across as an ass.... just wanted to make sure I understood what you were getting at.

Oh well... I'm tired. Off to bed.

No. Make sure they align it if you get it done.
I'm not getting it done anywhere unless I can manage a self-repair. I'm 4k out of warranty. I'll either take it to a private mechanic or take it to my family's dealership. I refuse to pay dealership rates for routine repairs - especially this which SHOULD have been replaced under warranty since I've been bitching about it for a year and a half and 20k+ miles...

There is no real good racing games yet though... the only reason I really got a 360 was for fortza 2.

So I've finally decided to stop being one of the few stock cobalts left in Pittsburgh. I'm going to go Stage 1 and add a 2.9" pulley. I know I'll still be slow compared to all the 2.5", 2.6", turbo, etc. cars out there, but it will be enough for me (for now). I was wondering who might be able to help me out with the pulley install in the upcoming weeks. Probably won't be for about 2 weeks. Just ordered everything today. I am more than willing to pay someone to help whether it be in cash, beer/pizza, whatever. Does anyone else have a puller besides Dan?

I finally got my car started. First try too, someone owes me a dollar. But it is still fucked. So I am no better off now than I was 2 months ago. Gonna do a few more tests to tell whether its a piston or valve. Leaning more towards piston but we'll see. Least I was able to drive it from my garage to the front of my house.

Only good thing out of this is I now know I can tear apart an LSJ and put her back together correctly and time the motor on first try without breaking anything And cam swaps.

So remember kids, don't let Al tune your car. He can't handle the fast@r.

We broke a bolt (Al broke a bolt) in the head. But that got drilled and retapped.

No, Al and Dan are the two that bought the cams. I wouldn't mind having a set though. If I had a puller, I would say come over now to toss the 2.8 on :/ I'm about to install a sway bar and intense mounts.

Will the puller be going back to Michigan with you, Dan? If not, are any of the other guys in the area able to do a pulley swap easy enough?

All I did was machine head and change headgasket. That is what we thought the problem was.

No Steve, he just put a new head gasket in. Still failed compression test, so it's something else, probably piston.

The pulley puller usually stays at Dave's garage. Also, if any of yinz guys want to go 2.7, that is what I have just sitting around, so, if you want it, let me know, brand new, never used. Let me know if yinz pull together a mod night, if it is a Saturday, I am in.

Mine's very close to stock motor wise, and staying that way for probably most of the next year.
