I was busy installing my new head unit last night... woot.

Looks good. Sounds like they only tweaked small stuff and broke 13's (without a sweat) on 8lbs. See dan i told you, you were going to need to match up against something like Bill's setup.

 

The trap speeds didnt impress me at all though, wonder how much faster the manual will be.

 

Yeah I saw... 13.7 at 101 I think. That's on 8psi with a smaller turbo than mine. I want to try out 10psi and see how that goes.

FYI... Install starts Monday evening after I get home from work. Dan and I are solid snake-ing into Dave's garage and starting then (probably 5-5:30ish). Anyone wanting to lend a hand is more than welcome to join.

i wouldnt mind stopping over although i dont know how much id be able to help since ill have my daughter.

 

I'll definitely auto-x after the turbo is on and the car is tuned. Hopefully it'll all be ready by then.

This is all also assuming my wastegate, oil lines, and charge piping arrive within the next 3 days. Jeff is doing the downpipe probably after work tomorrow.

You know... it took me how long to get all the parts together for this setup...? These last few days are the longest though. Monday seems like forever away.

 

How's the stereo workin for you....did u get a chance to play with anymore settings?

 

got my car back yesterday... of course it rains the 20 minutes it sat outside of bowser for, and stopped when i got there... so now i have to wipe down all the ******* waterspots for tomorrows starlite cruise...

but got it aligned.. it sorta drives straight now, still need 2 new tires in the front... got my new steering wheel installed... w00t... and my new speaker... theres hand prints all over the inside of my back window from that now that i can see on the tint... any small people wanna climb back there and clean it for me? lol

 

Well, at least there's not FEET prints, or even worse... AXE prints.

 

It's working great. I tweaked a few settings earlier this morning on my way to work. Sounds pretty clean now. I might go pick up satellite radio tonight. I'm not sure if I want XM or Sirius.

I also looked up other people's installations on here... some people cut that black plastic in the back to fit the unit all the way back. I'm going to do that when I get home from work. I didn't check... but did you put those screws for the iso mount hardware in the head unit box? I also NEED the PAC SWI-PS for the steering wheel controls. I miss them already.

 

well it is thursday.... wings anyone? but I cant go any farther than robinson.... vacation in a week and I need all the money I can save lol.
