Hmmmm. Forgot to ask Wes about Starlight tonight. Too worried about my landlord trying to break in my house while we're gone at work.
LOL I'm WIDE awake since about 30 minutes ago. Bus driver turned right in front of a fuel tanker this morning. Nothing like looking straight into the grill of a semi hauling flammable gasses to wake ya up!

Yeah.... I had one of those pucker moments this morning....
Some yahoo yuppie business travler decided his Equinox could fit in a space no bigger than a Mini and darted between me, a mobile mini-crane truck and the interseection...
I was able to see the orange peel in the paint of the Equinox... that's how close he was to me.
Moron...

I hate when people do that!
The woman this morning had to make a left on a green light across two lanes of traffic and I was in my mid-morning haze just kinda half-awake. I look up, she's going relatively quick towards the turn, but not really pushing it to make it, I see the truck maybe 150 feet away, comin pretty quick. I'm thinkin, OK, we'll stop and wait for the truck since there's no one behind it - NOPE, she just jerks the bus left right in front of the truck. I don't even think we were talking feet, he missed by INCHES. In a PAT bus vs tanker-going-40mph fight, I think the tanker would have decimated us all.

Yeah, my brother lost to a PAT bus in Oakland a few years back.
He was in the right lane to turn, and the bus was in the left lane. NO turn signal from the bus, and it came right over like his car wasn't there and swiped the nose of his car.
They told him he shouldn't have been there, and he said... Well the bus should be making it's turn with a signal on... and in the CORRECT LANE.
Morons...

LOL, dude, until JUST NOW I didn't even know you had a brother.
If you think the things PAT drivers do defy logic......you should meet my landlord!!!!
He's so cheap he will not fix ANYTHING right, it's become comedic and almost sad. Example time: 2 winters ago my upstairs neighbor's furnace broke...he tells her that the problem is she's not leaving enough windows open, the furnace has to have air to breathe. She's like "So it's 20 degrees outside, I have NO HEAT, and I'm supposed to open my windows???? I don't think so."
The current problem is our front door. I don't even know how it's still in one piece, the entire bottom 1/4 of the door is rotted to hell and all warped and nasty lookin. So every time it rains or snows or anything happens to where it gets damp again, it warps some more and sticks shut. So Monday, Emily who lives upstairs calls and he says he'll come fix it, and for us to please leave the front door unlocked (there's an entry to the house and then each apartment has its own door). K, door's been unlocked since Monday - no landlord. So YESTERDAY he calls and says he's coming today with tools. Please leave the front door AND BOTH APARTMENTS unlocked so he can use our electricity for his tools. Emily says she doesn't know about that, she'll have to check with the other tenant. Her boyfriend Dave comes down to ask me if it was OK and/or if one of us was going to be home. I said no, we're both working and no, we won't be leaving the apartment AND the front door unlocked. Not that we live in a bad neighborhood, but the front door won't even shut now so anyone walking down the street KNOWS it's open, they can just waltz right in and then if they try either apartment, they've got free access to all our stuff. So I spent 20 minutes last night trying to shove an extension cord under my kitchen door and plug it in so that there's a place for him to plug his **** in without needing access to our apartments. We'll see if it works. If I would have known his solution was going to be to sand down the edges of the door, I could have done that myself MONTHS ago. If this doesn't work, the property management company already said we maybe be able to buy a new door and take the cost out of our rent.

He just had his man card revoked the day he met her. Not that he had a good membership to begin with, ( more like a social member ) but after that... he handed that, and his man parts over.
Her dad is a cool guy, but her mom... I'm not a fan, let's leave it at that.
lol.... yeah, I wish.

At any rate, due to her boyfriend's lack of ***** he now has to share an apartment with her, her mother, and her sister. He just came home from work and they were all there, just like an "And oh by the way" moment.
just did not go anywhere too fast
Hey... didn't Dan have a rental one time?
