I am pretty sure all LSJ's have the same MAF? Dan was right too, I forgot to toss in the part that you need a wideband. Most shops would probably just use a tail pipe sniffer, which would be a bit off if you have a cat.

I've heard that pretty good tuners can usually get the MAF pretty accurate with trims then if they have to can even use the narrowband at WOT if they are good.

Matt, reason is most play with PE is some cars would have to do a seperate MAF and MAP tune. LSJs can do a MAF only with the same results as long as you don't go too far off from the original calibration.

Redlines use the same MAF, just a lil different diameter intake pipe which causes the stock calibration to look different from the factory.

If it is different, it will still be tuned the same way. Doesn't matter what shape it is or how how it looks.

one question about the tint. if i were to get them done tonight, how will the cold weather affect them? should i just wait until spring?

i'll have the stock cat-back and stock polished 18's for sale soon if anyone is interested.
I had my tint done originally on a 20 degree day... and the tint around the edge of the windows on the dot matrix had a hard time sticking, when they redid my rear quarter windows due to dust specs in them, it was 70 degrees, and the tint grabbed to the dot matrix just fine....

Other than that, as a whole, it was fine in the weather.

Yeah Al, if he were to go any pay for a dyno tune to get this Intake Lean condition taken care of, and they threw it on and just tuned PE.. he would be in the same situation... I am not too sure there's anywhere i would trust with my car locally...

Buy HPT, we'd show you how to tune MAF. Very simple, even GTO owners can do it.

p0171 couldn't be fixed by PE. Its a closed loop airflow DTC.

Yeah, so if he goes somewhere and they play with PE and spark, call it a dynotune and send him home, his issue wont be fixed
