My friend had a set of those on his CRX before changing to his current Yokohama's. He has the AV's I think. They're like $60 more than the Falkens at the same dimentions. He said the Falkens were every bit as good for even less cash.. For whatever that's worth..
Anyone heard anything on the Hankook Ventus? I saw a pair and the tread looked great. Seemed to be priced similar to my P6's.. Winter beat the **** out of my tires and I'll sadly need to replace way before my inspection. Plus, I'll want good meat for the track outings with the crew anyway..

I think I am actually going to just get some general exclaim uhp's... I can get 4 of them shipped to my door for $440.... Or I could get KDW2's for about $840 shipped to the door.... Im not gonna be going to the track with them as I have my drag radials... the only downside to the generals is they have a soft sidewall and they also dont come in 255 40 18 like id like
I think I've decided on just sticking with my stock 17's.. Unless by the time I buy the 4 tires and install and **** that I can get a wheel/tire package for a little more. In that case I'll just use my stockers for winter and get a set of black wheels or something. Maybe light bronze? Regardless, if I have to buy tires I'm down between the Falken Ziex/Azenis or the Hankook Ventus. Gorgeous looking tires, and easier on the bank to boot. And don't give me any **** like "Eh, cheap tires equal crappy handling" or something. I don't go fast enough for it to matter. lol.
Quick question though..
My tires stock size is 205/55-17. On the Discount Tire site it said I could go "plus zero". It listed 215/50-17, 225/50-17, and 235/45-17. What would each of those do for me? Because if I just get the exact OEM size, the P6's are the cheapest set I can get. I've already have 2 sets of those. I want to change. The Falkens and Hankooks I mentioned I saw in the 1st one, the 215/50-17 set. Is this ok? What'll it change?

Well nothing is ever simple. They were replacing my tires and snapped the special bit used to take the lugs off. I got another but they want me to take it to NTB to take the wheels off since they don't want to be responsible for it.
Alicia, if you're looking for a GOOD tire like that, the Bridgestone RE101 is THE tire to have... for what you're looking for anyway...
TOYO has the new r1r or something like that that is supposed to be killer as well.
Nitto NT-01 is a great all around tire that holds up very well between track days, street use, autocrossing and time trials as well.
Falken has really embraced the drifting scene with the 615's and have heard they've adapted the compounds to suit.
If you want an R-comp that would hold up better... look at the BFG -R1 tire... holds up great for roadcourses, and for autocross they take alot to get heat in them and don't degrade as bad as my hoosiers or the Khumos...
As a side note to you all that have had this.... I just got back from the dealer and I'm told the cam positioning sensor is going in the car, as well as 1 injector is causing a misfire... and I've toasted another EVAP purge solenoid...
1) where's a good place to get a good price on the injectors?? part #'s anyone?
2) Is the EVAP pruge soleniod able to be bought?? and is it hard to get to / put in??
3) I know the cam sensor is not easy, but just how hard is it to get to and replace??
thanks in advance guys
Since I didn't see where the whole Azenis bit started.....

cam sensor is 80 iirc and can be installed in like 20 minutes with minimal oil loss...just dont let wes either pull the wires out or get wires caught in the sensor lol..it literally 2 bolts and a wire connector
personally id swap the #1 injector with another injectors and see if the miss fire follows. Most times these cars have misfires its plugs not injectors...then again none of us have kept stock injectors past 40k lol...and Ive done injectors in as little as 10 minutes for all 4 lol.
Evap im sure al can shed more light on

When you take out the old cam sensor, try to pull it straight out without turning the sensor. Then look where the notch is on the hex, and try to get the new one in the cam the same exact way. This will make it a lot easier than hang cranking the motor to do it right.
I actually have all my stock parts still, so I still have 4 stock injectors with less than 10K miles on them. More like 3k IIRC.

I have. I'm at 52k and no issues.
Yes Brian, you know you want them. In fact, I was just down there last night and they REALLY want a new home....that's not ours........so I don't have to move them.

thanks guys....
I will have to think about this...
I know the misfire is slight becuase I don't feel any difference in the idle...
I still think the cam sensor thing is related to the trying to start before with the EVAP thing not working....
Otherwise the car fires right up.. no issues...
