Pittsburgh Crew < You
There's nothing wrong with Pittsburgh. lol. Aside from winter. But I mean, I've never once felt unsafe downtown like you get it some shady cities. Pittsburghers are an interesting group of people though..
obviously you never came through east liberty after midnight
I don't feel safe in my own damn neighborhood. You have to be VERY careful where you move around here.
Do you guys live in damn homestead or something? I don't know. If you don't bother anyone they usually don't bother you.. Go to Chinatown in NYC at midnight. Now THAT's scary. Pittsburgh at midnight.. Empty.
yeah thats always been my experience in pittsburgh, you dont bother them they dont bother you
Forest Hills.....right between Braddock and Wilkinsburg. I ****** hate this place. The entire east side of Pittsburgh needs to be firebombed unexpectedly. West side of town, not bad. East side of town, if you're not carrying a gun you're pretty much at the mercy of the "locals"....
There are plenty of nice areas in pittsburgh. The east end is just not one of them. Every city has their bad area's. Pittsburgh is no different. Certain area's I'm not fond of... East End, certain parts of the north side, hill district, and beltzhoover/allentown area. Downtown itself is just wierd after dark because it's so empty.

Yeah, downtown has never really bothered me. It's mostly hookers, transvestites, and homeless people at night. Not really anyone too dangerous. Every thing past Oakland/Squirrel Hill until you get out to Wilkins and Monroeville plus the Hill District is just a vast wasteland of fail.

Yeah, I think there was one this weekend too. Wes and I were driving home and 30 was shut down because of a wreck, when we got up there there were 2 SUV's wrecked, one flipped, and about 10-12 cop cars from EVERY department that was close - Braddock, Braddock Hills, Forest Hills, Wilkinsburg, Wilkins, etc. I'm thinking maybe it was a pursit as well. Don't usually see THAT many cop cars at an ordinary 2-car crash.
In my experience it's not, but then again I've been to a LOT of other cities. Only other city I've ever felt was worse than Pittsburgh was Knoxville, TN. Pittsburgh for its size is quite a problematic city, mostly because of the permanent shitty state of the economy here.
I live on the shitty side of town as well. Trust me, what you see on the news is TAME compared to what really goes on. 90% of the serious crime doesn't even make the news.

you would be surprised pittsburghs economy is actually on its way up along with the value of property and people are finally starting to move back. trust me we have been pricing house too lately, thats why we decided to rent again for a bit
This is "home" for me and all, but honestly I can't wait to leave Pittsburgh eventually. There's just so much out there. I hate the attitudes of people here. Definitely moving south once I have enough experience to hold down a decent job.
