I already had plans to go with my buddy so ill be there. Cant wait to go i was so pissed when i found out they cancelled todays test and tune so i cant wait to go tomorrow. I'm hoping to at least make it into 13's

I thought about it, but I've got tooooooo much to do and I don't want my car anywhere near that place. MOST people are alright, but I've almost gotten taken out by a few maniacs on my way back from school.

 

I thought about going... but probably just to spectate. I don't think anyone's interested in seeing an auto 2.4 run with just an intake and half exhaust.

 

I will eventually go sometime this summer. Don't want to take the new Cobalt out to the track with less than 500 miles on it.

 

Ok.... so I'm 90% sure I'll be there. As long as I get out of work, out and back to gibsonia in time....

I don't know about that. I took my ZR2 up there for Test & Tune one night (a friend nagged me into it) and ended up spending the evening running a guy with a new S10 Xtreme. We were both bone stock, and got quite a bit of attention, I guess because we were driving trucks... I thought it was fun seeing an Xtreme with the 4.3 (same motor as mine) just barely edging-out the jacked-up 4x4 with 31" tires...

 

hell.. I ran my bone stock 77 442 there back in the day, and ran a 17.2 consistently... it's not about the all out speed, it's how consistent you can make it. Being an auto... you have an advantage over us with sticks. Harder to launch without redlighting ( at least for me I know it will be ) Never dragged a stick car before.

The more I think about it.... the more I'm thinking I'm running as well.

Haha... heck I might run then. If nothing else, it might be cool to have some 1/4 times to compare with after Dan and I s/c the 2.4.

 

XEXACTLY! That and get you on the DYno with us next time we go ( 1st time for me as well ) and you'll have a nice baseline... you've already got an idea about how it auto-x's, so that's the trifecta!

Twin loopers FTW! I'm goign to strip some junk out of my trunk in the parking lot. Wes are you running? We may have to throw some stuff in your car if you're ok with it. I wanna take my sub out (and I think my stock airbox junk is still sliding around in my trunk from the other day). I also wanna take my spare out... but I can leave that laying on the ground. I just don't want someone walking away with my sub and amp.

I may take off my engine plastic too. I figure that should help with heat under the hood. Anyone know the ruling on helmets? I just realized I won't have one.

my buddy ran 13's last time and they didnt make him running a helmet, he told me that you have to run lower than that and also have to have a certain trap speed. but yah cant wait to see everyone up there. I want to run at least 13's so bad lol.
