racing at englishtown question
I'm new at stick. Now if I wanted to race at cruise night at englishtown, how do I launch racing style?? I heard its better to slip the clutch instead of dump it. How do I do that?

It all depends on your setup. Since you have an SS/SC you are pretty prone to wheelhop which equals broken axles. Most guys suggest reving to 2500-3000 and feathering the clutch out of the hole until you get decent grip, then rolling into the throttle. Also, avoid a WOT shift going into second or you could end up with some clutch slip.
When you hear that you should slip the clutch, that means that you hold the pedal at a point where the clutch is not fully engaged. I hope this helps some. I've made over 40 passes at the track (during two days of racing) and I still don't have it down.

sweeet. just let me know when u go. as for the granny shift comment... isn't that how you get the most power outta the car by almost redlining each gear?? and theres no need for double clutch thats what synchros are for and you lose time double shifting. theres a whole topic about it in drivetrain. and why traction control off? wont ur wheels spin that way?

If you leave traction control on and the tires spin...it'll back down the RPM's.
