So i found us a new member for the 'Burgh

SO i was on 3rd st beaver turning to go home, along in the other direction turning on the same street is a 06 laser blue ss/sc. Needless to say i pulled over and flagged him down and he stopped. We chatted awhile about the cars and i told him about the site, he said he would join, so..... thats my story.

Yes, yes it was. We don't do "big" meets often, maybe once or twice a month, but we meet up in smaller groups on a weekly or sometimes almost daily basis.

Nope, we do word of mouth. I'd NEVER do the flyer thing. Mostly because if I caught someone putting something on my car I would break every last one of their fingers...

I haven't done much since then either. End-of-summer is kind of a bad time for everyone, vacations, going back to school, etc. That and it's SO hot all the time.

Least I haven't been missing much lately. Except for the new BestBuy spot. There are cards on here somewhere you can print out and put on people's cars, but like Alicia said I would never do it. That day we went to BWW's in Robinson, me and Dan spotted a red ss/sc in NTB and where gonna put a paper on the window with the website. But the car was parked right in front and we didn't want someone running out of the garage with a wrench coming after us.

Yeah, we have an active group here in the burgh area.

I think we're more active than some formal "car clubs" at times.

I had thought about asking my friend that runs a printing company to make some cards for me so when we MEET a new person, we give them the card if they don't know about this site. That way, we get new members and since we're talking to them, we can see if they are the kind of people that we WANT to rep the area and the site.

We need to get something together. OT is slowing down and I've not been to a car show/cruise in a while.

SPEAKING OF THAT>...... what is going on about the Pep Boys show??

You'll have to talk to Dave about it when he gets back from his swimming, er, uh, fishing trip. Last I asked him about it, it's still a go but the formalities have to be worked out on Pep Boys' end first. I got the impression they don't have a permit yet, so we can't do anything final until after that gets settled.

I know that some are gone the 1st few weeks in august.

Dave and another guy he works with (who also works at Pep Boys) have some interest too. Hopefully we'll know something soon. The only day I KNOW I won't be there is the 19th of August, I will be in Austin.
