I'm working on trying to get a "track girl" for tonight... not looking promising though.

I was supposed to meet up with my friend, his wife and this girl tonihgt, but I chose the track.... so I'm trying to get them to come out to the track tonight.

Noooo noo noooo.... my buddy's wife has a doc's appt today to find the gender of their baby.... so we were supposed to get together to celebrate that. PLUS, his wife invited her to come along to try to get things moving along.

This girl is into cars... and has an ecplise... so she's my kinda woman. Well, most that will talk to me are "my kinda woman"....lol

She made teh comment one night... I want a Porshce, and not that wussy girlie Boxter thing...I want a 911 and in a stick... tiptronic is for pussies....lol

As to your wing question, the wing is held in place by 4 bolts thru the decklid. You just remove the under-cover on the trunklid and you're set. If memory serves me, there's some sort of sticky foam-tape on the wing mounts as well; I know there was when I had mine installed.

EDIT: I assume you're just talking about taking it off temporarily for racing? If you plan on removing it permanently you'll need bodywork as it will leave 4 holes in your decklid.

for those that couldnt make it you didnt miss anything. They had a no go. They couldnt get the left lane timing system to work. Theypissed with it for 3 and a half hours before the told everyone that tonight was a no go. Everyone got their money back though so im not complaining.

Yep... you all didn't miss anything than a BIG import car show... to me personally... I still had fun and hey.. we got to see a legit RHD Skyline R34 V-spec.... very very cool...1st time seeign one in person

Went to BWW and had food and drink... nice to see 6+ CObalts/Ions all lined up.

Anyway... off to bed... Maybe going to Flashlight drags tomorrow night. Who knows.

Yeah, we've had both Shiner Bock and Ziegen Bock....um...well both today actually. Along with many many more acolic beverages than i should have.

Possibly going out on Lake Travis one or both days this weekend with friends.

 

Finally got my first Evo kill. Also got a 2nd gen eclipse on the way home. The poor kid took a worse beating than Dan usually does in his 2.4. Trailor lengths. Would have had even more on the Evo but 2nd gear tq stear took over up the hill and the car went crazy. Plus he didn't even wait for the honks and got a jump.

About the tune Dan, it runs perfect once you in gear. On the shifting, it seems to come and go on the roughness. Sometimes it shifts perfect and others it toss's the car back. It seems to usually toss it around only when you drive normally and granny shift it. Powershifting seems fine.

 

Well, glad everyone had fun last night even if we never acxtually ran...

Like I said... to me.. it's more about getting together with you guys and having fun and all that. I think everyone was laughing most of the night, so that's a good time in my book.

Not sure what's going on for tonihgt..... Looks like rain...

There was talks about the Flashlight drags in Zeili... but I'm not too keen on going all the way up there and it rain... not that it's any different than last night's event...

Also... I'm heading to Cranberry in about 15 minutes.. so Not sure about making 2 trips out there today.

Might be home in time for the cruise, butthe car will NOT be clean, so it won't be IN the cruise ( that's if the rain doesn't cancell it )

Might head to Latrobe tomorrow night for the cruise there if the weather is good.

Ok.... Not sure what anyone has planned at all.

Some are heading to the cruise right now, but it's thundering here, so doubt we'll be there long. If the rain keeps up... amyeb not doing anything.

If thats the case, I'll have to see what everyone wants to do. I'm up for some indoor activities.
