mine makes a weird noise when turning the wheel at no or very slow speeds but i think that's from the tie rods being way off. we adjusted my camber within 1/16" of where it was so that's close for now. we really didn't adjust my dampening yet, i was gonna wait till after i got it all aligned but yea it would be nice to get a ballpark where yours are to test those settings out myself then. i talked to 1 of the mechanics at the shop i go to last night and he said nobody makes just axle boots anymore so if it keeps leaking i'll need to get a new axle, so it makes me think should i just go with 1 replacement axle for like $80 (give or take a little) or just get ZZP Stage 2 2.2L axles for $199... we'll see, hopefully our rigged fix holds for a little bit
i'd also say to go with the zzp stage 2 axels, i think driveshaft shop makes stage 2 axels that are resonably priced now as well. then you won't have to replace them for a while and you know they will hold up, thats the route i'd go. i'll re-check my damper settings tomorrow and give you my rate as well. its tough to get that balance between stiff and not toooo bouncy.

can i get a snapshot of where your camber is set up? i kno for sure mines off but dunno where to get it adjusted properly or for some 50$ or w/e they charge kinda suxx. yea mine groans a little bit at slow or no speed, i thought it could be a bit of coil bind but i'm going to check to make sure my tie rods are good tomorrow, i also gotta check my front sway bar bushings.

nicee man, and you did that while it was sitting flat right? i mean you didn't have it jacked up when you adjusted the camber? i'll have to do use your camber wisdom with the level. lol. and it seems the MOOG end links are all thats worth anything to get so i'll snag one till my other goes bad, only like 35$ anyway. also, i think that groaning is coil bind because we have them set realll low. i'm going to try to stiffen my front dampening all the way and see if it reduces the shock travel thus decreasing the coil bind. btw i believe i'm on 19 for the damper settings right now.

btw, for the record, i disuade anyone from getting rid of their cobalts, its a shame they weren't even in production for 10 yrs. chevy has a way of using cheap plastics on the interior and then blaming the entire car for the reason why they aren't selling. Evo's are nice but everyone is getting them and i'm gettin Evo'd out. if your goin the new car route then go with a 350z, at least not as many people have them, in fact i haven't seen one in a while. even a solstice would be different.

Lambo - nah i jacked it up and moved the camber a little bit and set it back down, then backed the car up a little bit and pulled back forward. actually i only had to adjust the driver's side since the passenger side was close enough to let go until wednesday
and redcobalt - i was commenting on the post in cobalt SS gang on FB, i'm andrew like i said on there i'd be interested in a meet as long as i don't have to drive all day to get there. i know reduf, itoastie, and a couple other guys may be interested as well from this area so maybe we can work something out in towards the middle of the state, only weekend dates i know i can't do so far are august 11 and 25
edit: yea my cobalt has been paid off for a year now and it's my DD. sure i do little things here and there but it's what gets me to and from work. 5 years old and has less than 34k on her so she'll hopefully be with me a long time yet. my next vehicle (other than a new bike ) will probably be a silverado HD

finished the rear wheels... still letting them dry (since 2:00).
Also... these pictures show my front gap being higher than it is (still jacked up in the back) so don't go 4x4 status on me :P
On a side note... Photobucket app is the ****, now I dont have to browse through all the folders and **** on my computer.

lol, definitely clean but definitely not feelin it, as long as you like it :
thanks for the tips andrew, i did some research an its apparently good to have a bit of negative camber for road racers. helps keep maximum traction. i'll have to try to adjust my camber this week, i know its gotta be wayy off, lol

It's hard to turn down the power, styling, and awd offered by Evo's and STI's.

i did some research again and you can adjust the alignment yourself. just loosen the jam nut on your outter tie road then spin your inner tie rod the corresponding direction in which you want to go to fix for your toe-in or toe-out. To figure that out you just need to measure the front and back of your Front wheels to see if you have toe-in or toe-out. also, adjusting your toe will effect your camber. and vice versa.

I moved my car out of the garage, to move my moms car back in for the night. As soon as I moved outside, rain drops fell on my windshield, yelled hell no and drove it back in.
Anyway, some inside garage with shitty lighting pictars
They look better than I thought at first

yea i'm sure that will be good enough to be in the right ballpark. but my best friend's fiancee's dad owns this garage and he has a new laser alignment machine he got only a couple months ago so i'm sure he's not gonna charge me too much to do it, especially since the camber adjusters are right on the top strut mounts. i just want it done right

yea i feel ya specially since yours is just a traditional DD you would want the camber an toe to be pretty much zero.
SJC i feel ya on the AWD aspect and the power. but reallly an evo is still pretty expensive. take a lesser car like even a base subie an you an put that money into the turbo kit an get something truly unique. even a base model AWD lancer and custom turbo kit. just tired of the traditional evo. like i said, i like em but everyone is getting them.
