Went to island dragway last night.
Made a few passes, but my fastest et last night was a 15.2 at 95 mph. I need to work on my launches, the cobalts have insane wheel hop launching hard, so i gotta get it right.

They do have crazy wheel hop...you will get used to it, like I did, and be able to judge it to eliminate wheel hop....i have no tranny/engine mounts or braces and i can now launch with minimal wheel spin and absolutely no wheel hop (no limited boost in 1st gear either). The engine/tranny mounts are for unskilled drivers...lol jk but yeah practice makes perfect

Yeah nick i was there too with my ss but didnt race that night i was just there with a few of my honda friends lol.
not trying to sound like your mom but be careful i wheel hoped the living **** out of my car then wound up driving a rental for 2 weeks, because i cracked the transmission which lead to a clutch and flywheel replacent..
my best was a 14.5 with open diff, aem dryflow and a gmpp exhaust
my first runs were in the 15's too then i realized i kept driving thru the water lol.

Since you live in PA I could give you some tips if we go to the track together. I plan on going Wensday, October 10th. Its a Wensday night if you want to go. There is no reason your cobalt could not run a mid 14 second pass or maybe quicker. Practice makes perfect!
