Thumbs up Yeah Pittsburgh!

Hi to all yinz that I got to meet today at Starbucks. I was excited to actually see some nice Cobalts (and Redlines) out and around. Now if only we could catch a break with the weather so we could check the cars out longer without freezing.

Anyway... nice cars all of you. Looking forward to dropping some cash into mine now that I'm past the 400mile break in period and meeting up again.

Well even though I have an auto... I'd still like to check out a track someday. I kinda bought my SS for practicality purposes (use as an everyday driver... but still have some fun under the hood). But I'm all about having some fun. I'm still new to all of this... so it'd be cool to have some "mentors". haha... keep me posted.

There are times when it can be an aid. Like today. I kept forgetting to freakin shift. And I ran out of gas - TWICE. I got a whopping 7 miles to the gallon on track.

The track days that I had done in my SE-R and GSR were like this: Get to the track early change wheels and tires, fill up with gas, hit the track..AND WOW this is fun...crap i have 1/2 a tank left..(few minutes pass)...damn there goes the fuel light.....!!!

It goes down fast at full throttle doesn't it..!!??!!

I'm planning on bringing my digital camera (7.1 MP beast)... but video would be cool, even of some of the cars... or on the turnpike.

Mine went down so fast I didn't even get the benefit of a fuel light. Just went flat. I wasnt' the only one, one of the Minis had to be pushed to the tanks.

I was on the Summit Point big track...alot of time to look at gauges on the front straight. Until I lost my brakes.. ...my first track day was VERY fun!!!

OMG! Not good! Mine were fine. Although one guy in a new Vette caught his on fire. That and in the infamous turn 9 where if you lift, you die....the asshat in front of me hit his brakes and got sideways. I didn't lift till I was through but by the time I was able to brake I'm sure his pucker factor was off the charts.

yes asshat is wonderful

Also, GTP by steel city do you mean you live by steel city raceway in delmot, or a different steel city altogether?

Also...I WILL be there tomorrow, that tranny last week kicked my ass and then we broke the exhaust reinstalling it, so we had to rig that all up, PITA. I will see you all tomorrow right?

And Dave...dyno? Where hybrid?

Dennis at Hybrid Dynamics said they were doing Mustangs all weekend. A group meet is going on this weekend but said they would be ready in the next few weekends for dynos.
