I have an '06 Silver SS/SC like all of us I'm sure, I enjoy working on and modifying my ride. I consider myself a very safe and legal dfriver, I take pride in my car and I drive it in a manner that should reflect my respect for the money and time that is into it. The fact that it is a G85 car with the Recaro's, Stage II, front mount heat exchanger with
CRYO2 spray bar 50 shot NOS wet system, K&N Typhoon, Prothane Tranny Mount, Ingall Stiffy Dampener just to name a few mods.
But there are people out there that who don't drive with as much caution. Tonight I was pushed into a curb from another driver who didn't see me in his blind spot not to mention he was changing lanes while in the intersection, I was in the right lane the other car in the left merging right into my lane during rush hour traffic
I see his left rear quarter coming into lane as I lay hard on the brakes the random barking of all fours as the ABS does it's job. I am nearly stopped but he's in my lane I'm against the curb and he nearly drives right up and over me with his left rear. The body damage is really not that bad the fender is pushed in there is paint from him and a bunch of rubber looks like a Jersey Barrier ont he freeway. The real pisser is dhe damage to the steering and under carriage bent A-arm and the such . The right front wheel is pushed up againt the rear part of the inner fender. Now the tearful part two weeks ago I put on all black Enkei LS-5 Type 437 and Toyo Proxes 4 224/40 . The front wheel has
couple of spokes with hugr gouges in them had severe curb rash on the lip. The rear whell kissed the curd too , not as bad but it's trashed to. Just hours before I the car fromt he muffler shop with a custom cat-back system that absolutley purrs. I wonder what how things would have turned out if I had my Baer 13" Big Brake kit installed ,the kits are
bought and paid for and on the truck for delivery this week some time. I guess that upgrade will have to wait.


The other driver stopped but he had no I.D. ,wouldn't give me any information about insurance so I said I have to call
the cops he begged me not to ,so I had to and he bailed out ......LEFT THE SCENE!!!!!!! WTF?!?!?!?!. luckily there was a witness sitting in a near by parking lot that saw the impact
and the fact I was pushed into the curb. He gave me his contact info and was happy to help. It blows to wreck but when it's someone else that puts you there and runs out, it
really makes it tougher than it has to be. This happend in King County Washington. If any sees a White Oldsmobile Intrigue ,Wasnignton State plates 232-XJP there should be damage to the passenger rear, check for silver paint. Call the cops if you are so inclined, Thank You.Don't know what would happen but I think there is a reason a guy would
split and he needs to get his due. I have good insurance I not worried about that, the sherrif came and made a report I'm covered there it's just the hassle, I work in Alaska, I only get to drive my car about 4 or 5 months a year, just a few weeks less now.

I guess it's still hit and run when when the cops are on the way and somebody leaves so as not to have to talk to them,

I had a situation where I couldn't stop in time and rear ended a guy in an isuzu trooper. It crushed the front end of my ford ranger but didn't do a damn thing to his ride because he had a trailer hitch coming off the back.... anyways, we exchange info and I've already called the cops, he says he's in a hurry and can't wait, so I'm like whatever, he leaves and when the cops arrive, I tell them he left and tada, no ticket for me...even though I was clearly at fault.

And I've been run off the road by another driver before... it was literally all I could do to not attack the guy, luckily for the both of us a cop was right down the road and heard the tires screaching. And of course the guy didn't have insurance.

People really amaze me sometimes

No I'm up in Shoreline

It was in Shoreline on N 175th and Meridian, have not heard from the cops but the insurance company found some information based on the plate number of the other car.
They find the other driver totally at fault and actually if the jack ass isn't insured I get
better coverage, lower deductable and the like.

 

question, why didnt the officer run the plate through the computer and go to this ass holes house and do something about it ??

i mean my dads a retired cop and he would have done that the second you told him the plate and right after he took the report he woulda got that guy. I am verry sorry to hear what had happened tho.

 

i was involved in a hit and run ...
dude slammed into the back of my truck...i pulled into a parking lot...he took off...
called the cops...they filled out an accident report...
i didnt have to pay my deductible ...truck was fixed...
all was well...

im so glad to have full coverage insurance....ill keep it when cars paid off too!
cuz too many assbags with no insurance are out there ...waiting to hit your ride!...and bail!

 

Allright this is an old post but it's me the the one who got hit and my car is back on thre road.
My insurance came through and I was covered with uninsured drivers coverage, which means 100.00
deductable and free car rental which covers a lot!!!, three weeks in the shop and $4200.00 damages later and I'm back!!!!
Last week I had the Baer brakes put on and man if you don't have 13" brakes you make think about it!!! the rears are stock diameter R1 Components and pads but they are sloted and drilled wow brakes like you would never imagine, if you wont to go fast don't neglect wanting to stop fast!!!

The cops here don't do that they just give you the the owner of the vehicle's information
and leave it up to you and your insurance company because it was a "non-felony" hit and
run, I suppose becuase there was no injuries. As it turns out my insurance company did
all the leg work and found out that the driver was not insured to dirve that vehicle
let alone he has no drivers license maybe because he is not a U.S. Citizen the owner
of the vehicle has to go after the driver and the driver's name will come up on any
thing having to do with his imagration stuff, so I'm guessing the dude is totally screwed ,being so that my insurance company has the right to go after the driver.
