July Vancouver MEET!

we now have a date for july's meet. its on the 30th and you guys are more than welcome to come over. we havent decided on the location yet so would you guys prefer Tsawwassen? or burnaby mountain. Tsawwassen would be a lot closer to you guys

doesnt matter if you drive a redline or a cobalt .....or rsx :P ...we're looking forward to meeting you all!

note: if you voted on the canadian north pacific thread then DONT vote on this one! ty

I have to say twassen, it has more facilities and it is closer for our Washington members who are comming up, theres the beach, food, washrooms, shade trees and you can barbacue there and there is a lot of parking and Iam pretty sure there must be some local camping. this is only 30 mins from the border and if some of the island guys come down even better for them

As long as you me a link to a mapquest map or something. I've only been to the Tswwassen ferry, not real familiar with the area.

Weather report makes it look like a good possibility of rain on Sunday. If the weather looks like crap I'll probably bag out.

In vancouver its 40% chance on Sat and 10% on Sun, sounds like pretty good weather to me

here's a few pics from the meet, not too many showed up probably due to the weather forecast, however it was hot n sunny at centennial beach.

The 2 Ion Redlines showed up first - clearly the faster and more intimidating vehicles of the bunch! lol!
We saw a black Cobalt drive by, turn around, and take off....., yep - must've been intimidated by the RL's sitting there! haha!

but soon enough 3 more Cobalts showed up and finally a G5
yay!

Damn, it was still raining here in Bellingham right up until noon and my car needed a wash bad. If I came it would have gotten just as dirty on the way up. Glad to see that some people showed up though. Is there still a meet planned for August?

I think a Aug meet should be left in Victorys hands so that he can decide a date, because I m sure every one wants to see the completed beast, anyways if we leave it to penquin he will just set another date and then not show uuhhmmm Matty

I hear on Aug.14th if the engine is ready to ship back. Right now JBP has reduced their business hours to concentrate on my engine. It takes about 5 days to get shipped back and I give it another week to be installed and tuned\broken in. The body kit and paint job won't be started till the beginning of October but that is just icing on the cake. Once I have a confirmation of shipping I will suggest a meet date.
The question is how many would be up for a Street legal track night?
