New SS in town
New SS in town
So i just went from a '08 Imperial Blue Sport
to a 08 Yellow SS/TC
. Anything I should know about the SS/TC. I'm used to bigger engine + carb change = faster, not all the forced induction.
I bought the car on Sunda and from what I can tell she has a few mods on her. Carbon fiber hood, Injen, Hahn, short throw...thats all I know...hella noob I know.
Anyone who can let me know anything at all would be of great help.
thanks

Sweet. I wish there were more SS coupes around here, It's mostly just ugly ass LS sedans and stuff around here LOL.
Sounds like you already got some bolt-on goodies. I don't drive an SS/TC myself so I can't tell you everything there is to know about your car, but heres a few basic things:
The SS models have FE5 suspension components (struts/shocks are the main difference) as opposed to the FE3 that the SS/NA aka Sport you are used to has. I would just read up about the LNF engine and you will learn stuff along the way. It's a never ending learning process lol.
This is just some really basic stuff tho, not sure if that helps.
Where about in the Portland area are you from? It's gonna be time to get some local owners together once the weather stops acting like a douche lol.

Ok, thats pretty much the same as my schedule too. As for local get-togethers for owners, I guess something will get figured out in the Portland owners thread.
Thats a nice upgrade, highrise spoiler? low? none? Do you know if it has an aftermarket tune? These cars are sooo much fun and need very little to unlock a bunch of power. I havent unlocked any yet totally stock besides a drop in air filter, gonna wait a bit before I do anything so I dont void my warranty. Downpipe and tune make these cars pretty quick daily drivers and will surprise a lot of people that dont know about it.
I have some pics in my gallery, but when I get home from work I'll try and figure out how to post em here.
I might be coming up to auburn this weekend, dunno for sure yet though

When you are posting, click the image of the mountain in the little toolbar right above the text box, then paste the URL of the image you want to post into the the text box that pops up. Or you can manually wrap the image's URL address in [IMG] [/IMG] tags. But first you gotta upload your pictures to an image hosting site like imageshack or photobucket, so that it can have a URL address that you can link to.
Forums are weird like that, you have to host the image somewhere else, then link to it in a post.
Here is an example: to post the image below, I would have to have the following written in the post ------>
[IMG]http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/163534_147594431956698_100001184271216_212261_4810 856_n.jpg[/IMG (I left out the last bracket so that it will display the code instead of the picture. If the code isn't complete or there is an error, it will just display the text since the link is bad and it cant do anything with it)
forum code lol
