You can make a whole thing for cheap, Home Depot for the board and a fabric store for the rest.

Just asked him. $90

For $120 he'll get it powdercoated flat black, it's currently Resale red and the original paint is chipping.

He's in Burien.

TTR bar is 25.4mm
Progress is 22mm

I had that TTR bar before I sold it to him, great upgrade on my Pedders. The car becomes more neutral, you can still dive bomb corners and trail brake without having the rear step out on you. It's a difference from having "no" rear bar and takes a little adjustment in your driving like anything suspension related. But it makes the car feel more spirited because you can gun it sooner out of corners.

My Powell Hardcore on the other hand is 31.75mm, she wags her rear if I ask her to, sometimes even when I don't ask.

I stumbled into mine as I recall. Scary sometimes having to let off mid corner and the tail trying to come around, makes my morning drive exciting.

Suspension is all about balance, having a stiffer front bar will make the car push out of corners and understeer. Our cars understeer like hell from the factory, putting on a stiffer rear bar gets rid of some of that understeer, finding the right balance in bars allows the car to hang in corners without any of the tires letting go.

The TTR bar is a nice balance, it adds a little without pushing the car into oversteer. It also allows you to accelerate out of corners sooner, stock you basically have to wait until you're exiting the corner to throttle up gradually, with a stiffer rear bar you can throttle sooner and harder without understeering.

I took Andy (the seller of all that gear) on a stint in my car onto a freeway and around a couple bends, he didn't like sitting in the passenger seat with the tail wagging around clover leaves with my Powell bar

Yep, 4 bolts and 4 nuts attached to easy mount plates.

Everything you see here except the TTR stickers (photo from their website), actual bar is red.

Yelloweye- which powell bar do you have? I kinda want a conservative one and would rather not slide my rear around. Probably just the hardcore for me and not the xxx.

I feel like our cars steer pretty well through corners. ..

38.1mm of weeeeeee!

Just take it easy the first few corners you take and give yourself some room, just get some practice in before you decide to take onramps at 60.

And remember the golden rule of FWD, if you start to oversteer, GUN IT. I'm not even joking, point the wheels in the direction you want the car to end up going and floor it, so long as the front wheels have traction the car will go that way. Weight shifts to the rear of the car, the rear tires get traction again and follow the fronts. The reason the guy in the gif above spun was because he hit the brakes and stayed on them, lightening the rear which lost grip and spun.
