I got a map today, it was a fun drive but it's a thursday and I had to drive past the lodge and start down on valley road away from paradise to find parking maybe 1/2 to a 1/4 of a mile. (especially if there's a groupf of us) I'm down to meet up just about anywhere, I think it'll just become an issue of parking.

How was the picnic area? It's the little spur road just before you get to the lower parking lot at Paradise. If we are going to BBQ, we should try to get a spot there. Sundays can be tricky though with all the visitors. I wish we could reserve a spot!

Maybe I will go up real early ahead of the group and save some space.

Need to decide on a two way radio station to use so we can communicat there.

Gonna look to be at that picnic area you spoke of.

Everybody else can meet at the mall as planned or just find their way to the picnic area.

i know...just lsat time i was up there 90% of the parking lot was gated off for construction. i just hope it isnt the same way

alot was still fenced off and there's the road into the lodge area and then you have to leave by going down and around the "meadow" area, is that the "normal" way to leave paradise.

how about channel 7 or 11 on the 2 way radio's?

Found it!!! i think this is the right address- 55210 238th Ave E

^^^ That is the address for the park headquarters which is a ways west of the park.

We will be meeting right near Paradise Inn I believe. In the middle of the park.

See blue dot on map in first post.

it's right at 1 hour and 50 minutes from Yakima, doing the speed limit(so I was probably going 5-10 over most of the time), which I saw a bunch of cops on thursday, so i figured it'd be worse on the weekend. I'm going to be leaving Yakima about 900 am if you wanna meet up and then we can go as a mini-group.... pm me and I'll give you my cell number so you can call if you'd like, and we can make arangements.

ps..... mapquest to paradise, wa it worked for me, and don't forget about the $15 dollar gate charge to get in the park
