It has been almost a year.

I went down to look at it just to make sure it was almost done. The car is in Milwaukee Oregon.

Yes! This would be awesome, I have been toying with the idea of trying to setup some kind of an informal meet in the spring for the portland owners since everyone is being a damn lurker and won't come out on their own lol.

But a larger meet during the summer would be totally sweet. There are some awesome roads in the west hills that we can drive if you guys want to do a cruise while you are down here (I actually have a loop route planned out for just this purpose). If enough people are interested in a summer meet, a separate thread should be in order. Call it the "Portland summer meet MEGATHREAD" lol

Put me down for this!

you can add me to that list. Right now I'm looking into prospective locations for a meet in the portland area. So far the only two places that I have been able to come up with are The Bomber in Milwaukie, and Hooters in Jantzen Beach right by the I5-Columbia river bridge.

Ideally I would like to find someplace that is somewhat unique, but is also not too far off of I-5 (or maybe I-205), for the consideration of those folks who may be coming from out of town and not be too familiar with the area. We wouldn't want the place to be too hard to find now would we?

I think I'm gonna wait on that until I can figure out a location and a general idea of what date might work out. I don't want to make a thread and then sound like a noob and be all like "hay guize lets have a meet wear shud we go cuz idk lol" (or something to that effect lmao).

I'd like to get some input/suggestions from some of the local guys that know the area well so we can figure out a good location. I know the southside/tricounty area (tigard, tualatin, sherwood etc.) and could probably come up with a couple of spots around here, but I don't know if you guys would want to drive 10 or so miles past Portland.

The location will be the hardest part to figure out, but once that is done everything else will be alot easier to figure out.

So adding Darkfuzion and myself to that list, we would have 5 people interested already.

I hear you on the long drive thing. Thing is I'm not familiar with the area north of vancouver, so we'd need some suggestions. I guess it would also be dependent on whether or not you guys want to do a cruise or something after meeting up. I have some roads picked out, but they are all in the Portland area (west hills). If that wasn't the case I would have picked something farther north.

Ok, so after scoping out some meet locations and driving numerous roads in the West Hills, here is the route I have come up with for a cruise this summer. It is kinda long, but this particular loop allows you to drive the best roads that the West Hills has to offer (they are among the best driving roads in Oregon) . We're talking everything from gentle sweeper turns, to S-curves, to tight hairpins, and beautiful scenery along the way. The start and end point would be the Hooters in Jantzen Beach, right off of I-5 and next to numerous hotels for the consideration of folks coming from out of town. All details would be subject to change from member input of course.

Let me know what you guys think. If we can get the route for the cruise ironed out, then we can start a summer meet thread, and get some of the other details figured out.

Portland SuperMeet Cruise Route!!!

location idea Longview, Washington

Usual drive-ins etc. But also the start of the road to Astoria, Longbeach, Seaside,
Just on the otherside of longview just over the bridge view parking where you can see all the way to portland and north many miles.
Also mt saint helens road starts close by.
I also go to the outlet malls in centrallia.
In woodland the road to Lake Merwin Dam also starts.

Well, I haven't got all the details for a summer meet ironed out quite yet (the date, mainly). But in the meantime I was wondering if maybe some of you local guys would like to do a little get-together at Hooters on say, friday or saturday evening (It's supposed to be mostly sunny with very little chance of rain on Friday)? Maybe 5-6PM?

I figure It'd be a good opportunity for those of us that are new to the scene to get to know other members in the area. Maybe even discuss future meets this summer or something. What do you guys say?

Okay, saturday works for me. It might get busy there so maybe we should shoot for a little earlier in the evening if possible. 4-5PM maybe? Although if some of you guys are free all day we could even do it earlier, around mid-afternoon or something.

Anything works for me, I'm free all day lol.
