I am looking to buy a used ss/sc and i have just been reading up on the leaking sunroof. It rains so much up here in washington so do any of you have problems with it Or know of any one with those problems?

 

My sunroof does not leak but it groans and squeaks, I have had it to the delearship once over this problem and all they did was tighen it up a bit, fixed it for about a week..they said this time they will most likely have to replace the sunroof.

 

no problems with mine, but my trunk is leaking like a strainer!!!!! probably cause i got rearended though....

No problems yet...I just washed the car yesterday, and I made sure to spray a bunch of water up there to check for leaks. I looked inside and it was all dry.

 

I live in VA and it does not rain too much here. Two people that I know of in this area have had problems with leaakng; one person the sunroof and the other the trunk. The person with the leaky sunroof had had his car in several times to try and get it fixed with no luck. He had a 4dr...and they just cut him a deal b/c of the leak and he got a 2007 SS/SC.

 

I have a stock sunroof on mine... no leaks, though I hear a rattle when I have the moonroof open, and the sunroof closed.

 

No problems with mine yet. You do get some extra noise from it though. Since it's so crappy up here during the winter I just leave the inside slide cover closed and that helps a ton. During the summer though when you use it all the time be prepared for some creaks when it's closed. Started not too long after I got the car.
