Wayyyy sweeter than my slobalt The GTR700 was even sweeter! Do a search on YouTube for GTR700 and you will see what I mean.

He has a nice exhaust system on there. I can't remember all the stuff he's done, but I know the exhaust is aftermarket.

I keep laughing at that too.

Why use manual when you have launch control?

His dad has the ZR-1. The 2008-2009 Cobalts have launch control (2005-2007 can add the WOT box), so why not buy an STi?

They have the last name LeMay (that's lucky!). His grandpa, Harold LeMay at one time had the largest privately owned car collection in the world (over 3,000 cars). He died back in 2000. The anual car show isn't the same without him

a "sports"/"race"/"performance" car with out manual trans is crap...

 

its a car for the new millenium tho really. people want to push a button and have everything done for them so they can concentrate on more important things like drinking their starbucks and texting their friends. kinda like a cheaper mclaren slr.

 

It has manual shift mode. The auto mode is nice for driving in traffic. The launch mode is what he was showing me in the video, so ease up a bit. How many people do you know launch a car while drinking a Starbucks and texting their friends?


"Previously, [our launch control] came out at 4500 rpm in first gear with one foot of rear-wheel spin, and then the fronts would grab," Robinson continues. "With our new calibration, we launch at 3000 rpm because there's more midrange turbo boost. It works [with the dual-clutch automatic transmission] in either manual or automatic mode, but the quickest way is just to leave it in automatic and let the engine shift at redline." In short, Robinson says, put one foot on the brake and floor the accelerator with the other, but be sure to leave VDC (stability control) on, lest we void the warranty.

Ohhh **** thats right! Lazy American mode...

Um...because it has paddle shift, does not make it manual. I'm talking a clutch. I know a guy who wants a new lambo but can only find 1 with standard trans. He hates that paddle shift, its fake. Yes it may shift faster but its not true heritage of driving. Really feeling the shifting, being in control. Paddle shift is for pussies.
