lets say i put together my own parts for stg 3 would this pcm work for that

 

And this wont work on any other year but an 05?

 

yes you can use this with parts that are made up to be a Stage 3 car (pulley,injectors,side plate). This is what I did. Just can't use like 60lb injectors and a 2.5 pulley and expect it to work right.

This will only work on the 2005 as the 2006 and 07 had a higher bit rate for the ECU. The 05 had a 32 and the 06-07 had a 64 . So the 05 ECU will only work in the 05 model.
