or could anyone tell me how difficult it is to convert a drum axle to disc? I am a pretty good fabricator and have a welder, and could cut the caliper mount off of my axle and weld it to a drum axle from what i have read?

Actually with the need of a rear axle assembly now is the perfect time to do the swap, a SS axle has the provisions for the disc brakes but this would require you to convert to 5 lug aswell! then brakes lines calipers and all the other "little" items

I'm willing to ship, but it'd have to go by freight. I'm guessing between $200-300

yeah I was afraid of that. but I don't really have any other options other than to try to straighten what I have and I don't see that working out too well... yours is the fe5? basically the same part right, just used different springs? could you get me a total for me and shoot me a pm?
thanks
