It like tricks your transmission and put more pressure it in or some **** to make the shifts harder to give it the feel of a manual. You can get the same feel with a trifecta tune.

Its wired into your cobalts transmission harness (Automatics only), and its like a transmission "tune"
Basically increases the line pressure and creates Firmer and quicker shifts, not has much as a real tune thou I cant say I have been in a tuned car, Yet . but it is very apparent when its on.

3 Settings on the rocker switch

1-good for daily driving and noticable over stock

2-Stock

3- "Track" shifts are very frim and very apparent

Its awesome cheap mod for an auto. I recommend it and know who ever buys it, will enjoy it.

Let me Know if you have any more questions.

T.

Quick note the car must be off when switching between settings, So no turning on or off while driving or when the car on/acc power

5minutes
Mount the switch inside the car, I had it in the little compartment where our trunk button is.
Fish the wire through the fire wall and solder(what i did) or get some wire taps, and make the 2 connections to the trans harness, which is easy to access btw.

Its basically a electronic shift kit. I'm not sure if getting a tune includes transmission settings? I was looking at getting one, but I'm going to put some money into the engine first.

Nope to all of the above... I personally ran the Shift+ for 30,000mi+ with no issues, and if you need to see the dealer, and are THAT worried, just make sure to tap the wires inside of the plastic loom, and tape it good afterward so nobody will ever know.... Simple.

Read the 20+ pages that hackabuse, me and plenty of other members wrote on this kit.... We are all living proof of the success of the product.
