For Sale Built Engine Part Out
Built Engine Part Out
Ive decided to try and sell my fully built lsj engine. It has a little over 200 miles on it since it was built. The only reason im considering selling it is so i can sell the car and everybody keeps telling me parting it out is the only way ill even begin to make any of the money back i have put in it. The engine is still in my car and i will not be pulling it unless somebody is serious about buying it because i dont want to pay a shop to pull it then have to pay to put it back if nobody buys it.
Bottom End $3500.00 - Id really like to keep the bottom end together simply because most people arent going to buy a bottom end that has been bored .100 over without the pistons to go with it and vice/versa.
-Darton sleeve kit
-Diamond 10.5/1 compression pistons teflon and ceramic coated
-zzp ecotec rods
The bottom end was built by alamo autosports in dallas. If you dont know about them brian there is the only person in the us other then darton themselves certified to install darton sleeves. All the finish work was done by john day engines of dallas.
Head - $2000.00
-Comp stage 3 cams
-Supertech 78lb valve springs
-Aps in oklahoma city ported the head as well as did the install of the cams, springs, and retainers.
The head will need an intake cam gear. Its $35.00 at chevy and ill most likely have one before the head sells anyway.
As for the tvs im not sure im going to sell that yet and im sure thats what most people are going to want from my motor anyway. as soon as i figure out what im going to do with it ill edit this and let everybody know.
I also have an hp tuner as well as everything that goes with it but i wont be selling it unless i sell the engine because if i have to keep the engine ill need the tuner obviously.
If there are any questions text me at 405-532-9566

haha i figured that would be what most people want. ill let you know whenever i figure out what im doing. if i could sell the engine id sell the tvs and just go completely stock but i dont want to sell the blower then not be able to sell my motor. no sense in having a built motor and a m62 lol
You want 3500 for the shortblock? ...
rods - 500
pistons - 700
sleeves - 700
a used sb - 500
So thats 2400....
say machine work - 300
that puts you at 2700...
200 installing sleeves .. that's 29...
& that's all for BRAND NEW stuff....

who on earth can install sleeves for 200? i mean you could have some redneck do it but it would end up blowing. mine has been tested to 50lbs of boost and done by one of the two shops in the us certified to put in darton sleeves. it cost me 1000.00 to get them put in. i have everything on my car done right and your pricing for all that brand new is way off. fell free to call darton and ask who can install them and they will say brian at alamo or them.
Please correct any of my pricing. Installing the dartons however, i willl admit I don't know much about them. However, I know MrB charges roughly 200 (I believe) to install his sleeves so that is what I was going off... but still.... with all my same prices and 800 added for installing sleeves, that puts you at 3700 which is for BRAND NEW ****.
Okay pistons are around 850 with your options..... but still... that's barely more than what you're asking and this is all used stuff. Come on man.

you must have missed the whole my engine has 200 miles on it. im pretty sure that is brand new. now your prices for the parts are pretty close its the labor your way off on. to get your sleeves right is 1000 then to get the block finish honed and decked would be 300 then to get the block put together properly with warranty is 1411.00. every gasket, seal, sensor have been replaced on my block
and whoever is interested ive got every single receipt for every part no matter how big or small for this build
