My guy took a look at the pics and said it needs completely refinished. Was told about $250-$300 because of labor and using high quality materials so it doesnt end up yellowing in a year.

I dont want alot for it but I really couldnt imagine it would cost that much but I really dont know guess to do it right and have it all coated like you said keep it from the yellowing.

He'd said he really needed to see it to accurately quote, but based in the pics and that the damage went all the way through the coating he estimated high. If it didn't go so deep it would be a $100 fix.

Definitely.

If someone, like Melon, that does their own CF work bought this they could fix it easily and cheaply since the work can be done by themselves.

Yes that's true. I might have someone here take a look at it for an opinion. Only thing is they do very expensive exotics etc. there pricing would be high most likely and even higher because they may not want the work anyways.

You could repair it easily. You just gotta know what resin system was used to make the wing. Even with the correct materials it still won't look as good as it was. You will still see where it was repaired.

Maybe could tell if look at it in detail but after repaired I dont think it would be huge sore thumb. It would be more mental knowing where to look after seeing the before.
