can someone help me with the shipping estimate..? the box is 56x37x12 and weighs 8.5 lbs.... its quoting me $190 to ship it from 14502 (NY) only to ohio....... ik i must be doing something wrong just like how it wanted $17 to ship that stupid pulley. It says my "billable weight" is 150lbs... but the box only weighs 8lbs....... wtfff

talked to ups today and they want ~$150 to ship the trunk bc it is so big. I guess even though its only 8lbs that doesnt matter in their calculations.

 

Its called dimensional weight, even though it weighs 8lbs it takes up a lot of space.

Each freight company has their own way of calculating the dim weight so everyone is a little different.

The thing to do is, when u get a quote online make sure u go into detail and add in the dimensions of the box as well as the weight so they can give u the most accurate pricing.

 

Ahh okay, I guess I understand the weight thing Bc although it is light it still takes up a lot of room. I ended up packaging the box and bringing it to them and getting a quote just to make sure I wasn't messing up the online estimate.

So trunk is boxed and ready for shipping, willing to do $400 shipped even though it's $150+ to ship it!
