Welcome to the forum!
What kind of cars are you running against in SCCA?
Are you aware that GM is going to come out with Staged kits for the Cobalt SS?
The Stage 1 kit includes higher flow injectors and a new PCM calibration. The injectors give the engine enough fuel to rev higher, and the new engine calibration allows it all to happen by raising the rev limiter to 6700rpm. The new calibration also allows full boost instead of limiting it to a 205hp maximum with the stock PCM.
The Stage 2 adds the same injectors and calibration as Stage 1, but also includes a smaller 79mm supercharger pulley which increases boost by 2psi.

If you do not count gm incentives (which are not markup) then a cobalt ss supercharged has $1070 in markup.
For instance my cobalt ss supercharged was msrp of 23,440
the invoice price was 22,400.
hence a $1,040 markup.
at certain times gm may offer a $1,000 rebate direct to consumer, but this is not markup.
Now the dealer does have certain interest credits that they receive once the vehicle is sold.
this equals to about 3%, or 672. the dealership profits on this if they sell the car right away, if not the interest they pay to finance the car (not very many dealerships can afford to buy every car on their lot with cash $$$$) is paid for with this "holdback". this could be PROFIT to a dealer but is not markup.
and ****, dealers can make PROFIT on you by charging you extra on finance rates or other things you will never know about. once again , "PROFIT" not "MARKUP"
you've been schooled.
