Found it cheaper? The cheapest I've seen is like $235 shipped.

To each their own...I know that the Sportlines are pretty popular amongst most Cobalt owners. Lowered Cobalts do look sharp I agree. These springs make the rear as low as the front end and offer better stability for cornering as opposed to stock springs.

I like to race a lot from a dig and want to go back to the stock height to eliminate weight transfer issues. After removing them I realized that my front struts are bad. These springs are stiff enough that I never noticed the struts were bad until I removed them from the car and took the springs out. Now the car is taken apart and wlll be until my new FE5 struts get here. Just ordered them, so hopefully I'll be back on the road again by the end up the week

Surely someone will be interested in these. Btw I can take Paypal payments as well. I can ship them out shortly after payment clears. If anyone has any questions let me know.

I just replaced a Pontiac G5's radiator in the parking lot at work that struck a rabbit and was inoperable and it wasn’t lowered. The owner also lost control of his car due to all of the coolant that sprayed all over his tires. Sometimes lower is not better.

The amount of drop for base model Cobalts and SS models is listed below the pics in my original thread post. Most websites that sell these springs mention the same amount of drop as I listed above.

Since you have an SS these springs will barely drop the front at all if any. They say brand new, this particular setup will drop the rear a half an inch in the rear, but I believe that is an understatement. You definitely can see a huge difference from stock height when the Pro-Kit is installed. The pics that I have posted at the beginning show my car when I originally installed these. What is good about this set is the functionality of it as opposed to how much of a drop it actually gives you. The springs are much better quality than stock. They help your car handle better while stiffening the suspension which greatly helps you corner better. After installation you would notice that the rear end will set more even with the front end which I think overall makes it look better.

I just recently decided to try and actually raise the rear end of my SS in order to help more with weight transfer issues. I'm at the point where I want to do all that I can to put the most possible wheel horse power to the ground without spinning the front tires as much. Until I possibly get a set of adjustable coil-overs or something that best fits my needs, I decided to go back to a stock FE5 spring and strut package. Some have said that it is better than what originally came stock on the LSJ and I will soon find out for myself.

These springs are still in great condition so much so that I didn't even notice my front struts were bad until I removed the coil springs from them. If your looking to help eliminate body roll while giving your car a slightly lower stance these will work out great for you. But along with these if you haven't already done so, I would suggest upgrading your motor and trans mounts along with the bushings because the stock ones are just not good enough for anything other than daily driving from point A to point B. Also try getting a strut bar of some sort and a sway bar package. If you enjoy cruising in your Cobalt and occasionally taking turns faster than you normally would these would be some great supporting mods to go with the Eibach Pro-Kit springs. Everyone knows about the wheel hop issue with these cars so you also may even want to get an Ingalls engine torque dampner. I have one myself and it was also a great upgrade. Rather than feeling like your trying to accelerate too fast over numerous speed bumps...you will find yourself keeping the power to the ground or just plain spinning the tires if you've given it too much gas.

Anyways sorry this response is so long I hope I've more than just answered your question but also given some other newer owners some insight as far as what to expect when they begin to lower their Cobalts or just plain modify them in general. If you have any other questions let me know. - Jeremy

There will be quite a bit of a drop with any other model aside from the SS models from my understanding. If I can find you a picture hopefully today where someone with a lower model Cobalt (2.2) used this same lowering kit I'll post a picture here for you to see.
