EWP and Engine Parts

First thing is I am selling the EWP from davies craig, nothing wrong with it, I just had a change in heart and since I had to get a gen three block just to leave the water pump assemble alone, The pump only has 45 miles on it, also the digital controller, 0 miles and never opened. I was going to return it to davies craig but it was 250 dollars to ship it back to Australia lol. For the combo which was 500 bucks I will do 220 shipped.

Next is the pistons out of the ZZP block, these also only have 45 miles on them. The motor did not blow up, it had the porus block crack and was leaking coolant into the oil. These are 86.5 mm which means you will have to have your block honed to proper size which should be done no matter what. The rings are gapped for a cylinder with 4 thou total clearance. If you do that they are brand new and just drop them in and go. I will do 350 shipped on them as well.

The other thing is a set of brand new oilers, 80 bucks from ZZP. I will do 50 shipped.

Proof of them only having 45 miles, I reset the When I started the car for the first time so I could keep track of the break in oil.

I re used the rods. I didn't re use the pistons because I was not to sure how thick the sleeve of the gen 3 was, a lsj or lnf block is fine with the 86.5's tho, hence why I went that route.

Yes it does lol. I know what everyone has said but they are cast in place like the 2.4 block. I am thinking the real gen three might not be cast in liners. The ldk is really still a gen two. Just sand cast

Gen 3 2.4 has liners which are cast into the block. This makes them very strong and they will not move. I have one here and its a nice setup.

2.0 has a process on the bore which is like that on cycle bores. It can be honed but not bored unless your putting sleeves in it

QUOTE GM

Engine Block
The Ecotec 2.4L's sand-cast cylinder block is a superior refinement of previous Ecotec engine block castings. It is dimensionally similar with previous variants, while providing excellent structural support, as well as enabling greater control of noise, vibration and harshness.

The main bearing bulkheads, which support the crank bearing, as well as the cylinder bore walls, have been significantly strengthened to support increased engine loads. Also, refinements to the oil distribution system enable improved oil flow throughout the engine; and an expansion of the coolant jacket, along with the use of cast-in-place bore liners, allows more precise bore roundness and improves the block’s ability to dissipate heat.

The Ecotec 2.4L’s flex-fuel technology is both sophisticated and durable. Hardware changes are limited to the injectors with a higher maximum flow rating. A special fuel sensor is not required for the engine; it uses a “virtual sensor” within the Engine Control Module that takes readings from the oxygen sensors, fuel level sensor and vehicle speed sensors to adjust the length of time the fuel injectors open for the type of fuel used.

Mongo I use the wiseco piston ring set. I have had good outcomes as far as the rings go.

Price lowered to 250 and 275 for the water pump set up. That's the price of just the controller, which is brand new, and you get the pump too. Still have the oil sprayers also, and found a new rear main seal in the garage if anyone needs one. 15 shipped.
