F35 Transmission (Any Final Drive/Diff)

Think my transmission is slowly going on it's way out on my HHR SS

Looking for a replacement. Would prefer LSD since I already have it, but am open to anything.

Any final drive/ratio, and any differential, it just needs to run and be driveable.

Does anyone happen to know if a transmission from an 04 redline will bolt up to an LNF car?

I know the mounts are different, but assume I can just swap mounts on the trans, as they bolt off. Also, maybe something about VSS?

EDIT: Nevermind, looks like using an 04 RL trans would be a pain in the ass, not machined for VSS.

I asked, he is fresh out.

He helped me find a junkyard that might have one, but I haven't heard back from them yet.

in order to make an 04 work you have strip and machine. if you just drill a freakin hole the vss wont read right. but could work. half assed. not worth it, takes a lot of money to make them work and you cant reverse engineer and run the 04 vss as it requires changes to the pcm/bcm that is impossible without the GM tools and they dont exist any more. You could get Vince at trifect to breakBCM code, to make the PCM/BCM interface work but it would cost three times what your car is worth to do that.
