FS: front SS t/c Brembo conversion

Hey guys,

Looking to sell my SS t/c front Brembo package. This package is 100% bolt on to any 5-lug Cobalt/G5. It includes the Brembo calipers, rotors, pads, bolts, flex lines, etc. It includes 100% everything you need to directly bolt it on to your SS / GT. I'm assuming you could also use it on a 5 lug LS.. The things kick ass, but I'm taking it back to mostly stock. The paint and lettering on the calipers is good, and perfectly suitable for a daily driver, or you could re-paint them as well.

Need to get 600 un-shipped. Probably another 50 bucks to ship. So 600 local, 650 (probably) shipped. Continental US only. Unless you come to me. lol

Post or PM and we'll go from there with details. Please ask questions, etc. There's approximately 10k on the set, and i'm the 2nd owner. They were bought originally from CED.

They're currently still on my car, however they'll either be taken off upon your request of purchase, or if I need to pull them sooner. But they can probably be off the next day..

Will also do a cash plus trade type deal for certain items I need. Post or PM for details.

Thanks!

I want brembos. Has anyone put them on an ls yet? Or would I have to convert to 5 lug?

you can install them on a base model, but you have to redrill the rotor for a 4x100 pattern and make sure your rims will clear, i was going to use the brembos, but my rims woudlnt clear, r1conceps will sell ss/tc rotors drilled with the 4x100 pattern for a base model to us, i spoke with them on this, so the most cost effectiv way is to buy just the calipers/brake pads/brake lines, and get the rotors from r1...but it WILL work on a base model and let you keep 4x100 long as you:

-re-drill for 4x100 pattern
-your rims will clear the caliper

i personally verified this...IIRC maven also ran the set up on his car for a while

ps. same thing applies to the LSJ brakes being used on the base

thanks for the heads up jn2. I'll definitely look into this some more. So if I buy this I just need to get different rotors?

I paid 600 for them, plus needed to buy the lines at 75 bucks.. haha So basically you're getting the lines for free.. Plus, they're half as much as new on CED..

And yes, if you'd like to do custom work, be my guest. lol

They cleared just fine from looking at his other posts. I don't suppose you would wanna sell just the calipers, pads, hoses, and bolts would you?

600.00 is a good price for these. And to let everyone know it was only 37.00 to ship mine out. About 900 miles.

There you go. If i need t oship, I will get an exact price first so no one get's screwed..

I have Redline wheels, yes. The Redline wheels and the SS n/a wheels fit perfectly fine without spacers. Everything else needs spacers. I still run 5/16's anyway. But I don't need to.

If anyone is interested, I will trade my Redline wheels for your SS s/c wheels if you take these.. lol

And coner, so everything but the rotors? Eh.. Trying to sell everything as is.. Just buy the kit and re-sell the rotors.. lol

If I'm not mistaking, I've heard that the ss/sc rims do not clear them though. As in they will rub.. true??

The ss/sc rims need a 5 mm spacer to clear the brembos. I might be able to do sell the rotors...

CobaltSS89, no, the SS s/c wheels do clear wit ha proper spacer. If someone told you that, they likely used a small one. I've for sure seen it.. lol. At home I have a picture of it if you're unsure..

Coner, for 600 plus exact shipping, they're yours. Do with everything as you'd like.

U could get these and just drill the 4x100 pattern on the rotor...my suggestions for buying rotors from r1 is if u piecing it together...

would that make them weak having extra holes in them or no since you can get drilled and slotted rotors anyways...

What type of rotors come with the setup? Stock SS/TC rotors or aftermarket?

What are you looking to take in trades or trades+cash?

They come with the OEM SS t/c rotors.

What I'm looking for as a trade plus cash option is a stock SS catback exhaust, stock FE5 struts WITH springs installed, black high-rise spoiler, SS s/c wheels, etc.

I had an exhaust and the whole FE5 suspension that I sold about a month ago lol. The strut tops are expensive though, so I doubt you'll find whole stuts. It's easy as pie to do the springs with either a tool rented from Adv Auto or bought for $10 from Harbor Frieght.

I still have the wheels..
