Guys... I've seen a CF hood shipped by a private individual before. It got nearly ruined by UPS. They dropped it, hit it with a fork lift, warped it, busted the upper edges off, almost tore the box in half. It took a really good body shop and $500 to fix it to where it was worth mounting on the car... and it's still nowhere near perfect.
So... if you're gonna ship it... make sure that you wrap it up until you feel that you could drop the box off of a truck and it be fine. Also... make sure to insure it for the full cost of the hood.
