no i had the bulbs like that for a while they look sweet, so bright. takes 15 min to install, pull headlight reach down and replace bulb

How much of a drop on the springs?

im not positive honestly. i think on the ss/sc they say .75 front and 1 rear. ofcourse its more for the 2.2 and 2.4 cars
