Also, as noted in Chapter 6, these cams require aftermarket valve springs. If you are interested in the exhaust-ported LSJ head also shown in Chapter 6, we have a FEW of those left. It is part number XGH734 and price $1210. Same rules for ordering apply.

We have to buy all that ^ to use these?

Wait....so you're asking $40 more than they originally shipped for....guess since they don't make em its justified. Might sell faster with pics.

The idle isn't much different really. Powerband is pretty sick though, I liked them.

You do need valve springs and lifters to properly support them.

What springs did you use? 78's?
And lifters seems the problem with these. What exactly did you do? Modified hydo, or solid lifters?

solid lifters can be found here, as well as springs and retainers.

Yeah, I had the 78lb ones that everyone uses.

I didn't know about the lifter thing until after I installed the cams, so I left them alone. I planned on doing the BLE soild ones, but I ended up breaking the block and getting rid of the car before I did anything with the cams. I just dealt with the ticking. When I pulled it down there was no abnormal wear or damage on the cams or valvetrain, but it sounded like it needed a valve adjustment all the time...

Any idea how these would work, or IF they would work with a TVS?

Edit: I just clicked and read throught that link....they were $360 shipped brand new from that site. Now, I realize they aren't made anymore and such, but you shouldn't be inflating the price that much even if they were never used...jmo tho
