i pulled the gm racing cams out of my car, and now am putting them up forsale.

word of warning. you will need a full valve train to run these. you may or may not have to shim your lifters to accomodate the base circle.

asking 350.

 

Are valves and springs all I'll need? Do you know the specs on the cams?

 

they are in the chapter 6 section of the lsj build book by gm.

what do you mean by "may or may not" need to be shimmed? I'm interested and have a full drivetrain (minus cams) and currently looking for cams.

9.5:1 c/r big cams. not a good mix. however. if one was to road race and be able to keep the rpms above 5k. it would rip serious ass

or if someone was building a highway screamer. these would do it

well. i guess i'll just give you a tip then. when you have the cams bolted down, and the gears bolted on. put the engine on tdc on number 4 piston, compression stroke. then put the cam phaser in. trust me it will save you a big headache later on

 

so i was on track by saying stock cams and adjustable cam gears was prolly the best route for a s/c'd car..
