It is his car and not everyone elses so to each their own. I personally have helped out with his sc build and some other things. He is a great guy and his car does not need to be ripped on.
The funny this is, is that there are a lot of 2.2's on this site (inlcuding mine) that spank ss/sc all damn day. and yes there are a lot of ss/sc that have a lot more power but that isnt the point.
The point is making your car unique to you and that is all that matters.

if your going to build up a base balt then represent it as one..not be a poser, better to be known with a fast ls than get beat at the light by a mustang with your fake body kit, thats what helps give cobalts a bad name.
